Eventrbrite and BrooklynVegan have teamed up to present a very special free show somewhere in NYC on September 17th. More details will be announced closer to the date including how to get free tickets. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: This is not to be confused with the BV Holiday Party which is happening in December.

There's been a rumor of The Hold Steady at Beekman Beer Garden that night.

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 4:20 PM

So I'm supposed to keep a Saturday night free for an event with no band, no location, and no time?

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 4:20 PM

A Frohawk and a Hacksaw will be performing their 90-minute epic concept album "Four Days Without Hummus"

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 4:27 PM

I don't think Hold Steady at Beekman is just a rumor:

You know, we don't have these big free shows very much in ATL...these shows cost a lot of $$$ to produce and BV must spend a shit load of time getting sponsors and people to work for no money, and here you all are, you ungrateful anonymous peanut gallery shitting on something that the rest of us around the country would be more than happy to have.

How about showing some fucking gratitude for a change?

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 5:11 PM

Oh man I hope its Linkin Park, Black Eyed Pees, and David Guetta all rolled into one awesome wet dream of a concert

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 5:11 PM

"no one enjoys the south"

riiiight, when was the last time you left NYC?

Posted by D.D.D.Dave | September 7, 2011 5:14 PM

5:07, you naive fuck. BV is making a killing on this, you can be certain.

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 5:27 PM

ted leo got canceled. round 2?

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 5:29 PM

oh I'm naive? that's why i've been a part of dozens of shows and festivals and can tell you first hand that its still difficult to make money at this.

and if BV does make a killing, good for them, they deserve it...

Posted by D.D.D.Dave | September 7, 2011 5:30 PM

Free hummus would certainly be a welcomed addition to this free event. Can BV get Sabra or perhaps even Tribe as a sponsor? That would make for a great party!

Posted by Anonymous | September 7, 2011 6:00 PM

I actually hope it is this "Frohawk" you speak of and his band. That way I can see his face as he'll stop hiding behind posts on BV and be in clear site so I can rip of all of his fingers and beat him to within an inch of his life.
