The Cure at Coachella 2009 (more by Darren Kim)
The Cure

Back in May, The Cure performed their "Reflections" show at Vivid Live in Sydney, Australia. If you're smart, you'll disregard all those "SOLD OUT" comments and find out about availability some other way than an anonymous BVer looking to amuse themselves.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 4:24 PM

The Cure > Radiohead

You can't debate that these shows will be incredible! These 3 albums are great... don't deny it! 2 ticket limit will help in getting tickets. Hopefully tickets prices won't be too crazy, but I imagine they will be.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 4:37 PM

Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers would be nice too

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 4:49 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 5:20 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 6:18 PM

yayayayayayay

this is awesome. wow. wow.

i only wish the drummer were lol tolhurst and not that stadium rock guy who in those youtube videos from australia earlier in the year pounded the same banal rhythm on the drums for 3 plus hours.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 6:36 PM

Boris Williams on drums would have made this perfect

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 7:02 PM

Just remember not to leave until the house lights come on

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 7:13 PM

Price don't matter. I make 70k/year. Speaking of which: does anyone need any knives? I could give you a great presentation.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 7:26 PM

6:18 the Top is Teeny Bopper?

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 7:57 PM

EPIC! FUCKING EPIC! Thom, meet your maker.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 8:09 PM

I like listening to music about how people suck with lots of other people...

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 9:23 PM

I always thought Robert Smith looked like a dead tranny hooker. Now he looks like a very ripe, rotten corpse of one.

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 9:33 PM

the top you mean with the teeny bopper hit caterpillar?

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 10:37 PM

No, that pop smash, Wailing Wall.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 12:43 AM

"Teeny bopper"? This isn't Madison Square Gardens!

Posted by ass chapter | September 28, 2011 1:54 AM

The Cure were already culturally irrelevant by Kiss Me. If you were actually there you would know that. By that point, they had stopped breaking molds and had become a dance pop band. I think that 3IB Pornography and Faith are as good a full album concert as you can get with these chaps. I like The Top best, but will gladly give up that one to see the other three.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 7:39 AM

12:43 and all the kiddies used to sing Bananafishbones, Birdmad Girl and Dressing Up!

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 7:47 AM

7:3 who cares about culturaly relevant. I can't think of 1 band I listen to that is and it doesn't bother me.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 8:20 AM

>>>This isn't Madison Square Gardens!

That's true. NOWHERE is Madison Square Gardens, actually. Madison Square Gardens doesn't exist.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 8:45 AM

is that gene simmons?

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 9:26 AM

personally would love to see Seventeen Seconds --> Faith --> Pornography BUT I will definitely be attending

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 10:25 AM

"The Cure were already culturally irrelevant by Kiss Me"

You're right, Disintegration is culturally irreleveant.

Idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 10:57 AM

Great band, but I'm not into the early stuff. These shows will be great for the die-hards.
They deserve to be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, as do the Chilis, Beasties, Joan Jett, Heart, and Guns N' Roses. Even if you don't like some of those bands, they have their place in rock history.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 11:07 AM

who is this band?

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 11:14 AM

I love when people judge rock n roll based on "cultural relevance". I don't think Chuck Berry or Little Richard gave a crap about cultural relevance when they made music.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 11:14 AM

siouxsie and the banshees > The Cure

Posted by AnonHUMMUS | September 28, 2011 11:59 AM

Sushi > Siouxsie

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 12:02 PM

I love the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
When I think rock n roll, I think Laura Nyro.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 12:17 PM

He can still sing well, but you have to admit, he looks like a big old Biscuit Head!

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 1:07 PM

and what's wrong with big old biscuit heads? they are great at parties.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 1:49 PM

robert smith looks like a drag queen getting ready for bed. this is my honest opinion.

Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 3:25 PM

chameleons=souxsie=cure

Posted by Anonymous | November 27, 2011 3:09 AM
