i thought they were hella boring at mercury...havent really listened to the album much since then...and i liked it originally.

They nailed a sound on record but can't really pull it off live very impressively.

Plus - they're songs all sound great for a while but get boring when they NEVER change up during the entire song.

I think they sound like a good Tom Petty riff but just played over and over.

really that bad? I really like the last album and EP, but sounds like I should stay away from the live show if I want to keep it that way.

the first 3 posters are probably the same guy who has a problem with this band.
War on Drugs is excellent, and they are getting better. The show at Cameo was fucking brilliant. There's a video by Jessica Amaya floating around that pretty much captures how good they were.

^ Yeah 6:39, I'm sure there is a conspiracy going on. Not just three separate people who had a similar impression.

If you enjoy preprogrammed music played by a pretty people standing in front of their laptop, then you'll hate them. If you enjoy actual rock music played by not so attractive people, then you'll love them.

How incredibly reductive, 7:07.
