Touche Amore at House of Vans (more by BBG)

Touche Amore must love the road. The passionate California screamo/post-hardcore quintet have logged tour after tour in the past few years (including a 2010 appearance at a BV-SXSW event) and it is definitely paying off. Before supporting Converge at House of Vans, Touche Amore was bringing their electric live show on tour with Title Fight at Santos/ChaosinTejas/KrazyFest, playing SXSW, and supporting the incredible Envy on tour, and all in the past year.
Now those odometer clicks will pay off on the band's forthcoming US headlining tour with Pianos Become Teeth & Seahaven. Touche Amore has played the support role in the last three outings at NYC's Santos Party House, but will be in the top slot on December 1st. Ticketing info is forthcoming. All dates are listed below
Touche Amore are touring off of Parting The Sea Between Brightness and Me, the band's latest release out now via Deathwish. Pick a copy via the label, or at the merch table on tour including at Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011.
All tour dates a coule of videos below...

saw these guys at Vans and was so struck by their performance you could have knocked me over with a feather afterward. haven't felt that sort of rawness and kineticism in YEARS. i'll be keeping a very close eye on this group and you should too.

^ you seem like a good publicist. what's your rate?

Band worked hard to get where they are, but the music is just sow whiny. Kids crying all over each other at the shows. No thanks.

how the fuck is this band screamo? they are a straight hardcore band...a little spastic maybe, but nothing over the top. slight shades of MLIW in their sound at times too. dont weight them down with a label that does more harm than good when it's not accurate.

why must the crowd touch so much? a bit strange, me thinks

Hey 6:58-
The name "hardcore" has been stretched so far; you could call Gauze, Madball, Strike Anywhere, Fucked Up, Rites of Spring, Negative Approach and Minor Threat hardcore.... all VERY different bands with different views on hardcore. So I think to call any band just hardcore doesn't really capture what a band does... something that is never easy to do.
Screamo is sort of a dirty word to some, but there were also many great screamo bands. I think that Touche Amore is rooted in hardcore, but they also share traits with great bands like Orchid, Daughters, and many others... hence my comparison to post-hardcore/screamo.
Thanks for reading.
