Tonight (9/15) is the Vice.com party that is sure to be a crazy time in addition to the intimate performance being given by Crystal Castles at Hudson Hotel. Didn't get an RSVP confirmation for those or just want to avoid the potential headache? Though maybe not as musically exciting, and definitely way more expensive, MGMT's Andrew VanWyngarden is DJing a Surfrider benefit at the Bowery Hotel. "Proceeds from this event will help fund the chapter's Rise Against Plastics (RAP) Campaign." The $55 ticket also includes beer and wine (I think, though it's sort of unclear what the $125 ticket gets you). Flyer below...

Good Units is actually fairly big. Slightly larger than Bowery Ballroom, if I recall correctly

This is from their Twitter stream:

"RSVP confirmation does not guarantee entry. Venue is super small and it's a wrap once it's full."

Crystal Castles goes on at midnight. Have fun, good luck. I got an RSVP and am not going, I'll sell you my name for 50 bucks, lol. :)

"Venue is super small and it's a wrap once it's full."

Well, except for about 15 or 20 NYPD Narc Detectives who are going to raid this coke fest. Bye Vice.

^Wrong party snarky...the venue being referred to is Good Units for the RCRD LBL Crystal Castles party...not the Brooklyn Vice party

Posted by Anonymous | September 15, 2011 4:11 PM

"proceeds" so how much of the $55 is going to "stop plastic?"

Posted by Anonymous | September 15, 2011 4:24 PM

if you really want to see these shows, bring $100 cash and an 8 ball for the door guys, make sure you are close to the front or dont bother

Posted by Anonymous | September 15, 2011 4:52 PM

got my name on both lists but def gonna skip VICE and RCRD LBL and going to Surfrider. I'm too old to be dealing with the clusterfuck that will be the free parties.

NYPD are shutting this one down because of coke and a over capacity of dolt fashion idiot inbreds with pube beards.
