Laura Marling @ Lincoln Hall - 9/22 (more by Ben Rodig)

Laura Marling's current North American tour with Alessi's Ark brings her to NYC today (9/28) to headline a show at Webster Hall tonight (tickets are still available), BUT FIRST a mysterious free, but now sold out event at 1pm. Who got tickets to that? Where is it happening?

I was just there...it was held in a small gallery on the LES. You went in alone with a stranger, chatted for a bit, and then Laura came in and performed a song, basically a foot away. Was pretty cool!

"a song."
that's it?

@214 you couldn't bring a friend? was this like a laura marling one-on-one burlesque show? was she behind glass? did you have to insert a quarter into the machine?

i'd hit it, but wouldn't pay to see it.

does anyone have the set time for the 1pm laura marling secret show?
Posted by Anonymous | September 28, 2011 2:35 PM
@2:33 Yes...I could (and did) bring a friend. But you were paired with a stranger outside the gallery, which was a small completely white room, with three chairs in it. And yes, she performed one song for each couple that went in.
