WiTTR last night @ the Bell House (photo by Greg Cristman)
Wolves In The Throne Room at Bell House

Wolves in The Throne Room played to a packed (sold-out?) Bell House last night with the utterly devastating Thou and similarly impressive Krallice. WITTR and Thou do it again at Death By Audio tomorrow (9/14) with Mutilation Rites.Wolves In The Throne Room, who has welcomed their new LP Celestial Lineage, is reportedly bringing their own PA rig to add to Death By Audio's system. Wow. Tickets go on sale at 11PM TONIGHT (they were on sale briefly at 11am yesterday but taken off sale).

Not only is Death By Audio their last NYC show on this tour, sources say that their current trek may be WITTR's last US tour ever... Confirmation on that is still forthcoming, but stay tuned. Check out some video from last night at The Bell House below...

sound was for shit

Who are these "sources"?

Posted by Anonymous | September 13, 2011 8:33 PM

I've heard they might stop being a metal band, but hopefully the (universally) positive response to the new one will make them reconsider, or at least play a show upstate. Like that'll happen, though.

Metal drummers really need to learn how to play drums with some fucking balls. No power, totally sloppy chops... it make the whole thing sound like shit. This is across the board, mind you. Not just the show mentioned above. A decent drummer is RARE in metal nowadays; not impossible to find, but too rare

how awesome would it be if they broke up, then krallice broke up and then Liturgy? BV black metal would be dead and maybe some new bands would be inspired to rock rather than be academic and gay.

"similarly impressive"?!? For those who weren't at this show, Krallice KILLED it.

Posted by anonymous | September 14, 2011 1:17 AM

i really don't get what people see in Krallice past their s/t, such meandering boring crap.

Thou should've been the headliner, a shame they have to be an opener for crap like Wittr

11:37 The drummer for Krallice is one of the best drummers I've ever seen. Dude could probably go toe to toe with Longstreth. And yeah, Krallice killed it.

@1:19AM- Krallice's latest, Diotima, is their best yet but this wasn't their best performance. Studio at Webster Hall was much better. @1:10AM- Don't ever mention Krallice and Liturgy in the same sentence again EVER!

UGH. the ticket website says the show isn't dog-friendly. god dammit. wtf am I supposed to do with my pomeranian that night.
