Boris @ Irving Plaza
Boris

Japanese band Boris have been touring across America with a rotating cast of notable openers including Coliseum and Tera Melos (who they played with in Chicago), and Asobi Seksu and Liturgy who supported them in NYC at Irving Plaza on Thursday night (10/27).

For Liturgy, who are already finished with their leg of the Boris tour (Boris already misses them), it was probably the last time they will ever share a NYC stage with their now-ex-drummer Greg Fox.

More pictures from the NYC show, including a shot of Boris's setlist, below...

It is really quite simple, Boris Rules.

everyone in liturgy should be killed

Boris and Asobi Seksu on the same bill? Most epic noisegasm ever.

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 2:42 AM

Liturgy were godawful. I didn't understand why they were even on the bill with these two other bands.

Also could have done without the weeaboo girl in the front that kept trying to dance her way to the barrier.

I love Boris, but their show was entirely boring. The new albums suck.

I love Boris too, but this show was not very good. There was no edge... at times I felt like I was in some cheap made-for-tv movie and this was the best band they could get to appear.

Pretty small crowd for Boris, don't you think?

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 9:47 AM

irving plaza sucks.

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 10:06 AM

small crowd and the balconies were closed.

i hate irving plaza too, that place truly lacks something.

2 LPs for $45 dollars?

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 11:16 AM

Irving plaza is hands down the best venue in NYC. No other venue touches it in the sound quality department.

Asobi Seksu seems like an odd choice to open for Boris, no? What do these bands have in common besides the fact that someone in them is Japanese?

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 12:07 PM

i thought the same, and then asobi totally outshone boris, so go figure

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 12:44 PM

Irving Plaza is indeed the worst. The. Worst.

I love boris albums but this show sucked, was the first time Ive seen them live. the drummer always do that video games sounds after every drum fill he does?

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 4:09 PM

Y'all got this, but not Decapitated? Hm.

Posted by Anonymous | October 31, 2011 10:51 PM
