CANT @ Mercury Lounge (more)
CANT

NYC-based Grizzly Bear side project enthusiasts have a decision to make tonight (10/25). Will it be Chris Taylor's band CANT at Bowery Ballroom, or the rare appearance by Department of Eagles member Fred Nicolaus at Zebulon. If your criteria is strictly "member of Grizzly Bear", then Bowery definitely wins (tickets are still on sale). If it's the price, well then Zebulon (always free) comes out on top.

Luke Temple of Here We Go Magic and Blood Orange aka Dev aka Lightspeed Champion who also plays in CANT, also play Bowery. Zebulon also has Glass Ghost and Little Women.

People, people, people. I suppose, in retrospect, I shouldn't be shocked by this as it's been quite a while since I've had to swing the mother fuckin' grammar hammer. However, Mr. Grizzly Bear needs to understand that CANT, unless used as an acronym, needs to have an apostrophe to designate the meaning CAN NOT.

Come on people. I expect more from my Billyburger eating crowd.

If you watched more than 5 minutes of Four Tet you'd know it wasn't "knob turning". He wasn't pushing play and jumping around like a moron (looking at you John Maus). Of course, people are going to react initially to someone moving around on stage but after further inspection it's the MUSIC that matters, right?
