Kanye prepares to meet the recently
carbonite-d Han Solo in Cloud City (more by Bao Nguyen)
Kanye West

Jay-Z & Kanye West have expanded their previously discussed (and rescheduled) tour together to include shows in LA, Chicago, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, and Madison Square Garden! MSG goes down on November 7th and 8th, with the previous two nights dedicated to shows at Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ (11/5 & 11/6). Ticketing info for MSG is still forthcoming, but Citibank card members can purchase presale tickets on 10/19 at 10AM.

Though tickets are no longer available for either Izod date, you can still hop on a Rocks Off express bus to the venue (11/5, 11/6).

All updated dates and the video for "Otis" is below.

Ahahaha! I called it. I knew they'd wait to put the MSG shows on sale, so that they can milk the NJ shows on the secondary market.
I hope all of you who are still holding onto your NJ tickets in hopes of scalping them, choke on them.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:31 AM

Suckas!

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:33 AM

@11:31, when did you call this? i'm just going to call right now, that you are a superfluous douche bag! i called it!

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:35 AM

anyone that didn't see this coming is a complete fuck tard.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:35 AM

I absolutely am a superfluous douchebag. More importantly, I'm a superfluous douchebag who was right. Hope most of you who gloated about selling these tickets don't take too much of a bath on them.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:38 AM

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:42 AM

Yewwwww!!!

Posted by The Dude | October 17, 2011 11:42 AM

11:42 - I would love to meet the idiot who paid that much.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:44 AM

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:45 AM

they need to play occupy wall street

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:45 AM

11:42 (#2) - Let's talk about Phish at MSG, but let's also talk about how much we hate Phish (because it's not cool to be associated with a hippie band) but have to post it on this site anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:46 AM

11:44 don't even get me started. i'm just glad someone did.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:47 AM

Good on you 11:47.
There's over 2500 tickets left for the Sunday show at IZOD. There's no way all those are going to be sold at the prices they're going for now.
And you're going to see tons of ticket drops in Ticketmaster in the days before the show; mid and back floors at $250 a pop face value (before service fees). Who'd be stupid to pay that to sit there?

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:52 AM

People, people ... people! Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, forget to head on over to the fiststick table when you're at the show.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:54 AM

Continuing on 11:52. By "2500 tickets left", I meant left on StubHub.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 11:57 AM

If attending , keep wallet in front pocket.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 12:03 PM

2 blacks? I love, love, love the blacks!

from gawker comment board today regarding beyonce:

NewYawkNative

The problem is that the Jackson 5 acknowledged their influenced whereas Beyonce jacks moves, outfits, magazine covers, concert themes, lyrics (her 4+4 lyrics were a mashup of Sam Cooke's "Wonderful World" and an En Vogue song), music, and costumes from everyone. Michael Jackson always told people that he got the Moonwalk from Shalamar. She lets people and the media heap praise upon her until she is called out and then she admits she was "inspired" by it. She got away with it before the advent of YouTube and nearly everyone being on the internet. She has a history of outright stealing songs she gets her hands on and when the person sues, Beyonce's lawyers drag out the litigation until the person can't afford it (or that person's lawyer informs them that the suit will drag on until it is unprofitable) and pay him/her a paltry sum. So, while it isn't Martha Graham, there is something wrong when Beyonce shines and is on a huge come up off of someone else without acknowledging it or paying the person. It isn't right. And, Michael Jackson wrote all of his songs and did his video treatments. Thriller was all original. Beyonce has never come up with a Thriller, Beat It, or revolutionized the music video. She is a wonderful entertainer, supremely talented, and an electrifying performer, but she's also extremely dishonest and does people dirty if they have less power and money than she has because, well, she can.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 12:30 PM

Watch the Throne was forgettable.

Posted by Doc | October 17, 2011 12:33 PM

Kanye + Jay-Z are to music, what Chef Boyardee is to fine dining.

Beefaroni > Watch the Throne

you'll be able to scalp floor seats for izod saturday/sunday below face value on the night of the show off stubhub, guaranteed.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 1:17 PM

1:17 - Agreed. And you'll probably be able to get those upper levels for $20 a piece.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 1:35 PM

This show isn't meant for the idiots on here who have nothing better to do than troll comment boards. We get it, you think Hummus jokes are funny. Maybe that's why you're not into Watch The Throne, which is totally cool. Just remember that when you're scalping these tickets next week.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 1:40 PM

1:40 - You are correct. This show is not for BV readers, who generally have interesting, unique or eclectic tastes in music. Rather, it's for white 14 year old girls who listen to Z100.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 1:53 PM

12:03 - Wallet in front pocket? Why? To protect yourself from being pickpocketed by a tween from the UES?

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 2:02 PM

Not as good as the Smiths.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 2:04 PM

Kanye West is the Stephen Pearcy of hip hop.

Posted by Anonymous | October 17, 2011 3:28 PM

@3:28, love the reference, but more approrpriately, I believe Kanye is the Axl Rose of hiphop. Narcissist, overinflated self-worth, batshit crazy, etc. The similarities are uncanny.

Chicken & Watermelon add 2 MSG shows & other dates too

Posted by Anonymous | October 18, 2011 12:17 AM

@12:03 Who is going to pickpocket you? Would-be pickpockets can't afford to go to these shows at these prices.
You're going to see white jerkoffy-looking 20-something guys who spent a crapload of money on tickets to impress slutty/skanky halter-top wearin' white girls. Mostly, the types of dickheads you see buying bottles at clubs in the Meatpacking District.

Posted by Anonymous | October 18, 2011 7:35 AM

@12:17 Make all the stupid racist jokes you want, but the reality is that the only black people in that arena will be on stage.

Posted by Anonymous | October 18, 2011 7:42 AM

Two price levels, 73$ and 376$ LOL

Posted by Anonymous | October 19, 2011 12:40 AM

I ain't paying that much to see a bunch of naggers.

Posted by Anonymous | October 19, 2011 2:08 AM

@2:08 I wouldn't pay that much to see Jesus Christ resurrect with a Jim Morrison-led Doors and Janis Joplin as opening acts. Even if I had that kind of money, I wouldn't pay it, on principle.

Posted by Anonymous | October 19, 2011 10:24 AM

@2:08 I don't need to pay to see a nagger. My wife nags me for free!

Posted by Anonymous | October 19, 2011 10:30 AM

damn a lotta racism on here, kinda sad.

on another note, does anyone's ticketfast ticket look weird to them? the font on mine is all jumbly

Posted by Anonymous | October 20, 2011 10:53 AM

^ Agreed about the recism, lame jokes or other wise.

Let's see some of these trendy hipsters wander around Bed Stuy. Would like to see how that turns out.
