Kvelertak @ Europa
Kvelertak

Before the Rocks Off/BrooklynVegan showcase, Kvelertak and Skeletonwitch hit Europa on 10/21 with support from Barn Burner, Turbid North, and Battlecross. Though I missed all support due to the showcase's early start, I arrived just in time for Kvelertak and the ensuing moshing, stage dives, fist pumps, and insanity. The crowd was insane for the band and just got wilder when the band dove into the crowd for a bout of crowd-surfing. The highlight of the show for me happened moments after that, when one of the guitarists played from the middle of the pit and eventually handed over his guitar to another audience member. Pictures of that, and the whole set are below.

After Europa I stopped in to catch the great Weekend at our official showcase, but then headed to Saint Vitus for a second, secret Kvelertak set that went down early Saturday morning. Pictures from both Brooklyn Kvelertak shows below...

These so called shirtless pudgy hillbillies are making people's lives better on a daily basis and getting more pussy than you black framed glasses whiners could ever imagine. Just saying.

Lowest level of society

Posted by Anonymous | October 25, 2011 5:02 PM

What the fuck are you guys doing on a music site judging band members for having tattoos?

Posted by Anonymous | October 25, 2011 7:17 PM

these dudes need to quit it w/ the whole 'musician' hustle and just deliver my pizza within a reasonable amount of time.

I was at that show showing support for Battlecross, and Kvelertak, though not my cup of music tea, definitely put on a very energetic & tight live show. Everyone that I met from all the bands that night were approachable & very respectful.

Why do people want to bash on bands they probably never even listened to before? And the earlier reference to hillbillies? What the hell is that? Should they have matching outfits & clean cut hair styles or something?

I think there is a small handful of "conservative" fox news enthusiasts who troll this site.

Posted by Anonymous | October 26, 2011 11:21 AM

band sucks - you're all deluded idiots
