Neon Marshmallow

Not counting the opening reception last night, the previously discussed Neon Marshmallow festival begins its three-day run in Brooklyn at Public Assembly today (10/14). Check the whole schedule at their site. Three day passes are sold out, but single day tickets available HERE.

Today is also the 2nd day of the Royal Flush Festival, and the 2nd day of Comic Con.

Today is also the first day of the Deluna Festival down in Florida, which Linkin Park is no longer playing (making the lineup that much better). Today's schedule includes Dinosaur Feathers, Ra Ra Riot, PS I Love You, Wanda Jackson, Givers, Stars, Weezer, A-Trak, Girl Talk, and Ladytron.

Today is the third day of Iceland Airwaves in Iceland.

The annual Treasure Island festival begins in San Francisco on Saturday with St Vincent, DFA1979, Death Cab, The Hold Steady, Flying Lotus, EITS, and many more. Two-day schedule HERE.

CMJ begins Tuesday!

this better not be one of the wack open bars where all the shit is gone in like 20 minutes and they limit you to 1 or 2...

11:56: Nice.

12:04: Thought you said "wack pack" bars there for a second lol. Would be funny to see High Pitch Eric there.

But yeah, I hope it's not one of those either.

^give the constant stern references a rest. he hasn't said anything funny in 15 years

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2011 12:33 PM

in all seriousness, what kind of music is this? i've never heard of any of these artists.

12:33: Considering it's miles above the constant S-Doctor references and all the douchey hummus jokes, and all the other stupid BV memes, it doesn't need to be given a rest. Especially since HS references don't pop up THAT often. Who do you find funny?

12:52 - Louie Anderson, Yahoo Serious, Emo Philips, Dom DeLouise, Steve Urkel, the baby from Dinosaurs, Vicky from Small Wonder, and the bass player from Beach Fossils who threw his instrument into the river.

^ Well, your sense of humour is quite to the off-kilter side and I would assume it's not compatible with Stern. Some of the ones you've listed I do find funny though. Maybe I have a diverse sense of humor or something.

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2011 2:13 PM

Jazzy blues. With a little funk thrown in.

@12:39/2:13 - Ignore 2:25. This is mostly experimental, noise and electronic music.

PFOK IN ITS ENTIRETY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THE SPPPINNNSSS are going to be rocking this town to the ground next sunday at brooklyn bowl

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2011 3:24 PM

These are all post Spinn Docters projects. A few are the roadies and producers projects. Tim Hecker is the singer plucking his red beard hair. It's quite a sight actually, and majestic music.
