Gotta be honest. On first listen, this Bjork record doesn't sound very good. I've been a bjork supporter for a while, but the beats in some of these tracks and how they bust in have no context and seem almost laughable in spots. I love hearing her explore, but this might be a misstep.

^Most Bjork albums take a few listens to sink in...hermusic is challenging but once you understand and digest it then it makes sense!

So what she's Bjork I think we can all agree she has made some incredible music/art BUT let's be honest and objective and stop with the "can do no wrong" hero worship and admit she hasn't made a truly great record in a long time.

^She had some misteps no doubt but considering she has been making music for 25 years plus that is allowed and expected. Stll that being said her work is mostly enjoyable and that works for me!

Biophilia is not an enjoyable album. Lyrics and content are interesting, but it is overall too laboured and with poor sound production/engineering. It doesn't work.

Bjork used to have the greatest voice in contemporary music. She could belt out anything. Now she barely gets above a sing-song whisper. Its sad.
