The Rapture

As you may have heard, SPIN is throwing a Ray Ban-sponsored party in NYC Saturday night with the giant lineup that is the Rapture, Crystal Castles and A-Trak. They're giving away tickets through various methods. One of those is right here on BrooklynVegan. For instructions on how you can enter to win a pair (if you're 21+), see below.

The Rapture were just on a tour that brought them to La Zona Rosa in Austin on 10/12. Here are some pictures from that show too. More of them with the contest details, below...

Searching around town for the 'flip out crew' for tickets, or buying a pair of sunglasses?!

How pathetic.

"The Flip Out crew will also be hanging around college campuses, downtown hotspots, and concert lines to hand out wristbands to fashionable fans in-the-know"

hahaha, what a bunch of losers....

This definitley appeals to the rollerblading type of person.

People in Raybans mktg dept should be fired. As usual, corporate america has no idea how to engage with their demographic without trying to suck out whatever they can. Bet you probably have to provide your social security, DOB, mothers maiden name, bank statement, dads annual income, doggys name, size jean, favourite soda pop, how many times you take a piss a day etc...

Epic fail.

@223 actually no, i just went to an optyx store, bought a pair of raybans, got the wristbands, and then turned around and returned the sunglasses for a full refund. that's how you do it.

Posted by Anonymous | October 21, 2011 2:57 PM

It's one of those making time parties at Voyeur.

Posted by Anonymous | October 21, 2011 3:11 PM

2:52 That sounds cool, except OPTYX has a no-return policy.

Posted by Anonymous | October 21, 2011 3:59 PM

2:52 has been watching too much "How To Make it America" episodes back to back..

Way to go balle - you're still going to see a corny band.
