We Were Promised Jetpacks @ Southpaw in 2009 (more by Dominick Mastrangelo)

12:30 Yellow Ostrich (Barsuk)Just hours before doors (noon!), we are excited to announce the addition of Scottish band We Were Promised Jetpacks to our free all-ages day party happening today (10/20) at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Don't forget (for those of you that are 21+) we'll also be serving free HobNob Wine and PBR.
1:15 Still Corners (Sub Pop)
2:00 Hundred Visions (unsigned)
2:45 Forest Fire (FatCat)
3:15 BOBBY (Partisan)
4:00 Main Attrakionz (Mishka)
5:00 We Were Promised Jetpacks (FatCat)
Maybe you caught WWPJ play an acoustic set alongside Forest Fire last night at Mercury Lounge? How was it? They kick off a tour with Bear Hands that includes a HEADLINING show at Webster Hall (!) in less than a week (Webster tickets are still on sale).
Listen to most of the bands playing this party via our Spotify Playlist. Get there early for Yellow Ostrich who reportedly killed it at Brooklyn Bowl last night.
Listen to a song by Hundred Visions below...

I have many a anxiety attacks when I see all this CMJ nonsense. Too much is going on at once and all these updates. Ugh.

We Were Promised Jetpacks were incredible last night at Mercury Lounge. They were playing without one of their members. And they plugged in for an electric set. Highly recommended.

no chance of that happening

When you say that they were playing without one of their members do you mean one of the dudes in the band didn't have his penis? Cause that's awful. Amazed he went onstage.

what is so amazing about that, 4:48? you are using a keyboard and computer, and you have no intelligence
Posted by Anonymous | October 20, 2011 6:54 PM
Can one really use a keyboard AND a computer when working on a laptop?

^ They're one unit. A team, if you will. Ergo one must seriously question 6:54's intelligence.
