I think that is Jerry 'The King' Lawler

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 5:02 PM

I thought that was a picture of Michael Ian Black. Then I did a double-take, and threw up.

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 6:43 PM

No cameras for Green Day tonight. They even said to keep cell phones in pockets.

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 7:19 PM

Green day will soon age into old codgers that hollar at kids on their lawns. The signs are clear.

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 7:29 PM

@7:19, Yeah, I think that's great. I'll be there. My guess is that they will be filming tonight's show for a possible DVD release or something and they want the crowd to actually be engaged and not have their phones in the air the entire time. If people abide by the rule (doubtful) it will be refreshing.

Pixies, I love you and will defend you to the death, but you've GOT to write new material already. We've heard every song from Doolittle a gazillionnn times now.

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 9:19 PM

how much is the combined weight of the pixies band members?

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 9:41 PM

The Pixies just need to go away. Everybody have enough money now? All tired and used up...

Posted by Anonymous | October 27, 2011 11:14 PM

@11:14 - Is just mad they missed a great show tonight!

Posted by Anonymous | October 28, 2011 12:33 AM

^^^including the sudden ending due to electrical issues...and the band played on.... :) good stuff tonight!

Posted by Anonymous | October 28, 2011 1:48 AM

lol Nearly choked on my coffee from the Lawler and Glanville references. lol

Anyone who chose to see any of these bands over THE single greatest Game 6 of all time (and I'm a Mets fan!) ought to have their heads examined.

Posted by Anonymous | October 28, 2011 9:02 AM

Glanville was solid. +1

"It's so cool that BV readers are so cool. That will never get old."

Yep, unfortunately. But such is self-delusion for those people.

"Anyone who chose to see any of these bands over THE single greatest Game 6 of all time (and I'm a Mets fan!) ought to have their heads examined."

Perhaps. Maybe I've just lost interest in baseball over the years. And I'm a Mets fan too! Hope you enjoyed it though.

Nah 9:02am, you can always watch baseball highlights on the internet. Amon Tobin's show was totally worth it my friend. Can't watch clips of Amon on Youtube and say I was there! You had to be there to experience it.

Thank you,
Thom

Pixies were great but exactly how is one supposed to know in advance that there will be the greatest (ridiculous) World Series Game ever played?

Posted by Anonymous | October 28, 2011 2:50 PM

How were Liturgy (yes, I know it's cool to hate them; but obectively speaking) and Asobi Seksu at the Boris show last night?
