Jane's Addiction

Exactly a month ago, not long after they played Deluna Fest in Florida, Jane's Addiction came back to NYC to play two shows at Irving Plaza with Dom (yes, Dom strangely opened both shows). Here are some pictures from one of them (though none of Dom). They continue below...

Someone needs to let these people that there's no such thing as rock stars anymore.

If my friends and I started a band, we would probably be called "hummus addiction".
Our rhythm guitarist has a killer food processor and our drummer is from Lebanon. And me, well I stop at Mamouns at least 3 times per week. So you go and do the math.

Those oriental dancing girls are hot.

damn, i really liked hummus addiction until i got to the mamouns part and realized 2:39 and his friends have just showed up from ohio five minutes ago.

Posted by ME | November 20, 2011 5:33 AM

2:39 just got back from hanging out in the east village with his buds from Ohio, and being that he had his buzz on, finally decided to write that witty comment on the mighty BV. Congrats!

Dana is easily the best photographer on this site

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2011 10:54 AM

The more tattoos Dave navarro gets, the less human he becomes.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2011 11:20 AM

i agree ... Dana's a fantastic photographer. well done.

I think mamouns has the highest quality hummus in the area. It's certainly better then Oasis on Bedford, and way better then Maoz. Why y'all gotta hate on Mr Mamoun?

Perry Farrell's got some sort of Catwoman/Joan Rivers thing going on.

8:46 - They never "filled" MSG. They played there in 1991, but it wasn't sold out by any stretch.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2011 3:43 PM

12:41 - ...and that's one of the problems with rock music these days. I miss the days when people idolized rock stars.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2011 3:46 PM

^ Why? What good did it do you?

Posted by Dave | November 20, 2011 4:50 PM

What good did it do me? I found it enjoyable...

I'm hoping to find a local Chapter of H.A. (hummus annonymous) because my chickpea addiction is starting to get out of hand... Just the other day I had to sell my Sufjan Stevens CD to get 3 bucks to afford my side order.

Posted by Anonymous | November 20, 2011 11:36 PM

"Chickpea, Give us the grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, And the wisdom to distinguish a good hummus platter from the other."

-H.A. Oath.

Why's he holding a pair of saucony's?

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 8:12 AM

11:36 - You can still get 3 dollars for used CD's these days??

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 9:11 AM

3:43- I was at that show, and the MSG show in 2001. Apart from a few empty seats in the upper areas for 2001, it was packed.

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 10:01 AM

6:59- Your comment will always apply to about 80-90% of the posters here. Absolutely no response can refute that. Try as they might, they are, and always will be, poseurs.

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 10:03 AM

^ Agree totally.

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 10:50 AM

so it's just Dave and Perry now, huh?

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 11:05 AM

I am not a daily hummus eater like many of my pals, but I do have a few cans of chickpeas in my cupboard to fit in. Does that make me a poseur?

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 3:11 PM

the guy with his face all tattooed is too cool!

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2011 3:50 PM
