Monster Magnet's Dopes To Infinity
Monster Magnet

Monster Magnet will play all of their breakout LP Dopes To Infinity as well as "the hits" at a pair of NYC area shows in January: Music Hall of Williamsburg on January 13th with Naam, Quest For Fire, Ladykiller! & the Heavy Shit DJ's, and Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on January 14th with Ladykiller!, Lords Of Mercy, Life Without Warming, The Black Clouds, & Black Ocean. The two dates are the only known US shows as part of their Dopes To Infinity tour, which kicks off in November in Europe. Tickets to MHoW and to Starland Ballroom go on AMEX presale Wednesday with regular sale kicking off on Friday.

Monster Magnet is also preparing to release Dopes, a limited-edition three track EP on 10" vinyl that will feature "reimagined" versions of "King Of Mars", "All Friends and Kingdom Come", and "Dopes To Infinity". The EP is due this month via their own Studio 13 label. Dopes To Infinity, released in 1995, preceeded their later Powertrip LP which would eventually go gold on the strength of the single "Space Lord".

Naam, who recently released their Nirvana covers 7", are currently hard at work on a new long-player, though no word as to where (label-wise) or when that will surface.

All tour dates and some video is below.

Finally.

Their first couple of albums (and EP) were much better. They had a more commerical sound starting with DTI.

If I were these guys I would announce these performances but then play Pocketful Of Kryptonite instead. And then play it again for the encore.

"If I were these guys I would announce these performances but then play Reign In Blood instead. And then play it again for the encore."

I know nothing of this band, but I am always appreciative of a fine looking nude woman on a cover.

strange coincidence. 13 comments and there will be no more than 13 people in attendance.

Wish it was Superjudge in its entirety but I'll take what I can get. I just hope they don't cancel like they did when it was Motorhead and Monster Magnet.

Remember that video they did that was a parody of Puff Daddy and Ma$e? Good times... Ah the nineties. Will the Doctors of Spin be opening?
