Tickets are still on sale because this isn't the Jesus Lizard. History has proven this is the "B" team.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 12:01 PM

"B" team??? - Scratch Acid????? Are we talking about the same band? Saw them in '86 with 10 people in the crowd - it was a religious experience for me. Jesus Lizard is the knock-off here, not Scratch Acid.

Posted by David Bally | November 7, 2011 12:06 PM

are there any openers? will sa go on at 9pm sharp?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 12:15 PM

what happened in 86 should have stayed in 86.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 12:17 PM

12:01- That was an astoundingly idiotic post.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 12:19 PM

Doors open at 8, opening band at 9 (I just called but she didn't know their name), Scratch go on at 10:15.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 1:30 PM

are they selling burritos in the parking lots? I need a mircale ticket. Oh I see, some nostalgia is ok. and some gets heckled by the bullies.

Posted by nygrump | November 7, 2011 1:57 PM

overrated

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 2:23 PM

I'm sorry but although Scratch Acid is good, I don't see how anyone could legitimately like them more than the Jesus Lizard. They were such a positive evolution of what Scratch Acid started.

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 2:42 PM

I heard no opener, they start at 9pm prompt...

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 3:17 PM

If you call the Mercury right now they say 9 opener "I don't know who it is, it just says TBA on the sheet" and Scratch Acid at 10:15.

If you don't believe me call the Mercury Box office which will take 30 seconds out of your life.

Secret opener is Bitch Magnet!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 3:57 PM

Although I don't necessarily believe 3:57, they do live in NYC so it is in the realm of possibility. They're playing that same ATP right?

But why keep ANY opener secret, especially a big name if the show isn't sold out?

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 4:03 PM

^^^^
Maybee they'll get Lou Reed then

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 4:13 PM

I wish it was Bitch Magnet but they are playing tonight in Tokyo (really)...

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 4:24 PM

Wow, Bitch Magnet really is in Tokyo tonight!

Posted by Anonymous | November 7, 2011 9:25 PM

"i wonder if he will take his shirt off and jump into the crowd? Ya'know, really break out some fresh material."

yeah, maybe he should wear neon and the rest of the band can form a drum circle. perhaps a dubstep DJ on stage...
