globalFEST

globalFEST is returning to Webster Hall on January 8. The fest takes place on three stages and features a large variety of music from around the world. A few of the artists playing will be making their US debut at the show. This year's lineup includes The Gloaming, BélO, Yemen BLues, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Wang Li, Zaz, Mayra Andrade, M.A.K.U. Sound System, The Silk Road Ensemble, SMOD, Diogo Nogueira, and Debo Band. Descriptions of each band are below. Any recommendations on who not to miss?

Tickets are still on sale. Food will also be available for purchase all night.

I usually can't get behind this kind of fusion, but the silk road ensemble is pretty fucking cool.

Foreign bands sound cool and refreshing. They offer a new kind of music and that is all we need. Variety keeps us revitalized.
