Laura Stevenson, BTMI & friends celebrating the holidays
Europa

Titus Andronicus were the special guests at Europa on Sunday, 12/18, with Bomb the Music Industry (who played their newest album Vacation from front to back), Laura Stevenson (who recently played a song in a stairwell for us), Bridge and Tunnel, and The Golden Age of Radio. Titus were revealed last minute after playing Brooklyn Bazaar one night earlier (12/17). The Europa show was a holiday benefit...

"This is our FOURTH ANNUAL HOLIDAY CHARITY SHOW or the "WE GIVE A SHIT" as it's often called. All the money left over from the door after expenses will be donated to Safe Horizon... a great non-denomiational charity that aims to move victims of violence from crisis to confidence by providing food, shelter, and all that other good stuff so many of us are lucky to have."
More pictures from the Europa show, along with a video of Patrick Stickles covering Lana Del Rey, below...

These photos are proof that the most underrated member of Titus Andronicus is Patrick Stickles' beard.

Looks very fun, and yes very excited for a new titus album this year.

Posted by Anonymous | December 27, 2011 6:45 PM

These pics don't really make it clear that BTMI headlined this show over Titus...

maybe I could get behind this earnest feel good nerdy punk stuff... except that it's fucking terrible white people crap.

fuck this shit. if there's going to be a DIY revival let it be ANGRY

Matisyahu kicked 7:13 and 7:30 in the face for criticizing... Pwned!

Any negative comments clearly were not on the same planet as this incredible lineup.

this crap makes my teeth hurt

they should do shows like this at discovery zone

Posted by Anonymous | December 27, 2011 10:08 PM

The Golden Age of Radio is easily one of the worst bands in the city.

Titus Andronicus are worse than a romcom staring Fred Armisen and Janeane Garofalo.

I've never seen so much coverage on a band than I do on this site.
Is someone at BV in the band Titus Andronicus? I don't understand how such a crappy band gets this much attention. I rather someone
knock out each one of my cavity ridden teeth with a rusty screwdriver than listen to this band, never the less seeing a thousand pictures of them every other day on this site.

^^
Hey Sherlock, it's called Brooklyn Vegan, they're a Brooklyn band, and they do a lot of stuff in and around Brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 10:39 AM

^^ Ok - logical answer, but just because they live in Brooklyn
doesn't mean they need to be on Brooklyn Vegan every other day. I know plenty of bands from Brooklyn I never see on here. So what your saying is If I play a banjo made out elephant turd and play in Brooklyn I'll get covered by BV? C'mon, BV is usually pretty good with covering decent bands, lets not get stuck on an infinite loop of shitty bands like this one..

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 11:31 AM

To join the conversation, Titus Andronicus is a fairly popular band that plays in and around Brooklyn alot. Also I am guessing Brooklyn Vegan is just a fan, and thus covers them a lot. Also, I can't believe no one commented on the video. Pretty creepy cover, but I would say less creepy than the actual Lana Del Rey video.

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 11:47 AM

that video games video is supposed to be a joke right?

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 12:00 PM

I've never met anyone in real life who listens to Titus Andronicus (and for good reason, they're terrible). Why do they get so much coverage on this site? I hope they go on tour so I don't have to see that guy's face again for a few months.

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 12:06 PM

Yeah enough TA all ready. I understand the BV business model requires constant content but there HAS to something more interesting than TA.

Bomb the Music Industry! shows are the best. Vacation was probably my favorite album that come out this year.

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 1:55 PM

Also Bomb The Music Industry didn't play Vacation from front to back... They came on stage and said before they started playing that they couldn't figure out how to play all the songs live.

Before, I was just really pissed at myself for missing this.

Now its starting to physically hurt a little. This looks like it was a great time.

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 7:06 PM

So this whole dopey band is in love with Lana Del Rey?

Posted by Anonymous | December 28, 2011 7:31 PM

7:31 no this Titus Andronicus dipshit is obviously trying to be funny by making fun of someone successful and infinitely more talented than himself.

That dude is like someones annoying college aged little brother that needs to get smacked around.

Hey Patrick Stickles, go swallow some bleach!

Posted by Anonymous | December 29, 2011 2:57 AM

so basically, we're talking ska here

keep it in high school dudes
