According to the video teaser you can watch and listen to below, Gene Ween (aka Aaron Freeman) is releasing his first solo album, entitled Marvelous Clouds, via Partisan Records on April 10th. Check it out....

Ween just played a series of New Year's shows in Denver...

"Early in the first show of Ween's three-night stint at the Fillmore, guitarist and frontman Dean Ween offered the crowd a simple game plan: "We're Ween. We're the band for the next few days," Dean Ween (aka Mickey Melchiondo) announced casually as his musical partner in crime Gene Ween (Aaron Freeman) grinned at his side. "We're gonna play you a shitload of songs over the next three days."" [Westword]

Ween and Gene (and even Dean) have no shows announced at the moment, but I'm sure that will change soon.

It's actually a covers record of Rod McKuen's music. Aaron's always done great with covers, so I'm looking forward to this, although a new full Ween album would be nicer.
