Don't bother. No regular price tickets were being offered. Only VIP tickets for 250 and 175. Total joke
But you do get a lanyard.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:09 AM

If you think I'm paying that price to see a fat man try to relive his glory days you're sadly mistaken

This whole thing is a failure

Posted by Greg | January 31, 2012 10:09 AM

You can tell people did not really want to pay those prices. The Webster Hall ones took at least 5 minutes before they were all gone.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:11 AM

Does the VIP package give you a pillow to sit on while you're waiting for Axl to show up?

For 250 dollars I sure hope so!

Posted by Mark | January 31, 2012 10:12 AM

webster hall sold out instantly - website said they were still available but you couldn't add them to cart.

175 for webster hall is a joke. i mean a great joke considering i will easily resell my +1 for over 500 dollars.

i'll burn the lithographs.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:16 AM

you get: Early Entry (15 minutes prior to doors)

awesome, pay more to wait an extra 15 minutes. some deal axl, some deal.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:16 AM

Initially, I hesitated. But then I thought that he might be using the money to develop his next album. So I outright refused.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:16 AM

Webster Hall ones took at least 5 minutes before they were all gone.

Posted by Avioes a Venda | January 31, 2012 10:17 AM

Are the lanyards made from his old cornrows?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:17 AM

You know, if I hadn't already seen the show late last year, I would've likely considered it. How different is it really gonna be?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:19 AM

Yeah 10:16 is full of it. You could keep adding Webster to the cart for at least 5 minutes. Not to mention the 250's are now back on sale for Webster. This idiot is gonna feel real stupid when he can't even get close to 500 for these

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:19 AM

1019 as long as the idiot can get over 175, he probably won't feel stupid.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:21 AM

Slash is probably counting his $$$$ and laughing at this joke of a band

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:23 AM

He might get a little over that but it cuts into his profit margin. The people who get tomorrow and sell will make more.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:23 AM

Slash curating ATP Belarus!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:23 AM

oh, this I love

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:25 AM

175's back on sale for Webster. Lol Wait i thought the demand for this was crazy

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:26 AM

Why would anyone go to this?

Posted by Why? | January 31, 2012 10:27 AM

1023 i think his point is that he can get both today and tomorrow.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:27 AM

Oh and the presale tickets are all will call. Only the other stuff mailed to you. And you can bet it is gonna be show your id and walk right in. More scalper fail.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:27 AM

Still spinning the copy of Chinese Democracy that I bought at Best Buy!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:28 AM

in a ferrari or jaguar switchin 4 lanes with the top down screamin out MONEY AINT A THANG

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:28 AM

Sorry, guys, but anyone who thinks that buying a pair of tickets - will-call or not - to this show (GNR at the Ritz) is a scalper fail is an idiot, and just is not in tune with how to make money in this world.

Yes, I'll admit that the people who pay me a lot of money for these kinds of tickets are stupid. But the money is still there, I wouldn't do it if it wasn't. I've never lost money, I've never gotten stuck with tickets. Anyone with a brain would try to buy a pair of these and sell their +1.

Half the Ticketmaster lot will go straight to Stubhub for this shite anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:30 AM

10:27 I think you are right and i think that also means the demand for this and the glut of tickets available will mean not much profit for these amateur idiot scalpers.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:30 AM

i can't even read these comments. the demand for webster will exceed supply by ~25x, there will be a huge mark-up value for tickets. it's common sense.

THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN ARENA BAND PLAYS A SMALL CLUB SHOW. IT'S JUST MATH, YOU FUCKING MORONS.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:32 AM

175 you'll pull profit. 250 level is risky.

i'm talkin about the ritz show. paying 175 or 250 for either roseland or t5 is fucking insane.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:34 AM

Moron, the VIP tickets are not even sold out yet!!! They keep going back on sale. What does that tell you genius? People not willing to pay those prices meaning demand is not there. GET A FUCKING CLUE

Oh why even bother, most of you should know that these "scalpers" boasting on here and lying trolls.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:34 AM

Moron, I could get your mom to suck my dick by just showing her the numerical amount of money I make per month from scalping tickets. You really don't know what you're talking about.

Talk to me in two days, and we'll see how much these tickets are going for on the secondary market.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:40 AM

Yeah you making thousands off Scalping. Uh huh. Keep lying troll

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:45 AM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

just at everything.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:45 AM

"...by just showing her the numerical amount of money I make per month from scalping tickets"

Why show the amount and not just show the actual cash??? Oh, cause you aint got none b!tch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:50 AM

STILL on sale.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:50 AM

"Please note that your concert ticket and lithograph will be mailed out to you." To the scalpers to be out there.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:52 AM

I wonder what Axl thinks of the new Lana Del Rey album

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 10:56 AM

1050 well i thought it was because your mom isn't a prostitute, but if she insists on cash up front, i can make that happen.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:01 AM

If you think people aren't out there making thousands upon thousands of dollars from scalping, then you are very, very uninformed. Just look at the numbers, they're right there in front of you.

Buy a Roger Waters front row ticket Yankees Stadium ticket for $275, sell it to an idiot for $1500, that's already more than a thousand dollars. And they do that for every. single. show.

People earn a living off scalping; I just earn a second wage. Probably ~$20,000 a year according to my SH statement, which now requires me to file tax reports with them due to the amount of money circulating through their site.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:08 AM

11:08 I hope all the worst things in life happen to you.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:10 AM

King Yellowman.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:11 AM

Where are you getting the tix? Ticketmaster says they don't go on sale till 5:00PM

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:12 AM

11:01 - FAIL

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:13 AM

Wow, there are 'professional' scalpers who are actually proud of it?! Bet, they live in their mommy/daddys basement, but got mad rims on their whip, yo!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:13 AM

1110 the funny thing is the only ones to blame for the success of the scalping profession are the buyers. plight of the commons situation.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:16 AM

i really don't care about any of this at all.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:19 AM

Scalping is so easy to do, even if you have a full-time job. Professional scalpers are probably drug-addicts who live in shit. The people making the real money are the ones who are scalping while simultaneously working in an actual profession, like me. I just view concerts tickets like stocks, and buy/sell them accordingly. Most volatile market around, a shitload of money to be made there.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:22 AM

"I just view concerts tickets like stocks, and buy/sell them accordingly. Most volatile market around, a shitload of money to be made there."

This guy's got the right idea. Well put.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:25 AM

I'd rather see idiots make humms jokes than D-bags bragging about scalping

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:28 AM

11:22: I can totally see this douchbag hitting up DJ's in Belmar not wearing a shirt..

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:34 AM

The demand for these shows will be high, however, by starting out at an inflated price point for tickets, the resale demand may not be as high as you think.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:46 AM

Can I buy these tickets on Android Market?

Posted by W Axl Rey | January 31, 2012 11:48 AM

175 for a webster ticket is inflated just enough that i can guarantee profit. 250, not so much.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:51 AM

Just stop feeding these trolls and the one moron who is going on and on about how he scalps as a second job. You can be sure of 2 things. One he is full of shit about being a scalper and two his first job is probably flipping burgers at McDonalds.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:53 AM

Yeah some profir 11:51. Ok so the guy bought 2 tickets for 175 each which came to 183 each with surcharges. He can only sell one. Let's assume he gets 500 for it(there is no way he is but for argument's sake). OK so 500 minus the SH surcharge. You do the math.
Way to go Nelson Rockerfeller. You are some kind of businessman

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:56 AM

^he also gets to use a free ticket to the show Einstein...if he wants to go that is a win in my book.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 11:58 AM

^ Of course it is cause you are probably a poor schlub who cannot afford 135.00 for a ticket

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:00 PM

But like i said above, this moron aint getting close to 500 a ticket for this show.I can promise you that. But continue to believe the BV trolls with all their boasting lies. Stupid is as stupid does

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:02 PM

11:56

1. I can sell both, I have learned to read the fine print over the years. Just need to show up in person on the night of the show to pick-up and hand-off the tickets.

2. Even if I couldn't, I'd still be going to the show for free.

3. There would be no SH surcharge because this is a will-call show, so it would be a craigslist deal or a straight broker deal.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:02 PM

"1. I can sell both, I have learned to read the fine print over the years. Just need to show up in person on the night of the show to pick-up and hand-off the tickets."

Lol, Uh huh. Sure

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:04 PM

By the way, let's call Mr Big Shot on his bluff. You mentioned above about your amazing SH account balance. So let's see it. You can cover up the personal info. Cmon Mr. Genius Scalper.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:06 PM

"Wow, there are 'professional' scalpers who are actually proud of it?! Bet, they live in their mommy/daddys basement, but got mad rims on their whip, yo!"

First time chiming in. Actually, I live in a condo in Clinton Hill and my gas guzzler still has the stock rims, if that matters. I would guess we're probably the same age or close to it and I'm far more successful (financially and just overall) than you. FAR MORE. So save your judgement.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:28 PM

If you even cared 1% for any band, you wouldn't be scalping. Give the tickets to real fans who would actually enjoy the show more than you.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:41 PM

^ I care .1%

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:48 PM

what a greedy fuck

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 12:55 PM

okay, so i'm completely convinced after seeing that picture up there that Axl went bald during the nineties and those those braids are just glued to his head.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:00 PM

12:55 yeah Axl really is..he is the only original member so he gets like all the money made off the ticket...this might prevent him from getting back with the band...

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:01 PM

this guy has the worst taste in music if he is bragging about seeing GNR.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:04 PM

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:41 PM

^ black folks are all like, "Gee whiz, all the grape soda be sold old, darn it."

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:49 PM

I hope everyone that goes to this show dies of A.I.D.S. and pancreatic cancer.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:53 PM

Guns and Roses are fucking awesome!
These concerts are going to rock!!!
Y'all haters got the small dicks!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 1:56 PM

Can we talk about how 99.9% have at least heard one GNR song in your lifetime and sang along with your drunk friends back in high school? Cause i sure did!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 2:03 PM

^I used to sing November Rain in Karakoe because it is like 2 minutes singing 7 minutes instrumental!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 2:13 PM

I heard T5 show is Spaghetti Incident in it's entirety!? Is that true?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 2:14 PM

1:56,

"Y'all haters got small dicks!" That has to be the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've read in awhile, kudos!

"Man, my dick is small. Therefor, I cannot enjoy the music of Guns N Roses."

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 2:15 PM

It's true that too much hate will give you a needle dick. Only love will make the grass grow.

i'm just glad i'm gonna be someplace where i can dance like axl rose (arms firm on my sides, swaying back and forth) and not get punched in the face, but rather embraced for my glory.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:01 PM

^I met this girl who looks like Axl Rose, got drunk and took her home and we slept in her clothes...Got rid of AXXXL by the afternoon and thought being awake never felt this good!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:04 PM

301 actually my full-time day job provides as much, if not more service to the world than you do. it's called being a productive, successful human being.

and if scalpers didn't provide a service, then they wouldn't exist. act like you've never bought from a scalper because you slept through an onsale.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:06 PM

@301 realizes how much money scalpers are making/realizes scalpers arguments are in fact correct; resorts to ad hominem attacks. classic.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:07 PM

3:04 - you're cool, brah.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:07 PM

Webster Hall pretending to be The Ritz while Axl & Co. pretend to be Guns N Roses. Perfect.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:17 PM

317 while you pretend to have a life.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:18 PM

11:08, you make it sound like getting a front row ticket from TM to Roger Waters for $250 face value is easy.
The reality is that unless you have some sort of bot software, you have as much chance of getting front row center (for any show for that matter), as you do getting hit by lightening.
For most shows these days, the majority of the front orchs don't even see the light of day; they go directly from the artist/management/promoter directly to a reseller. Even if you know these people, they'll sell you the fronts for a markup, or they'll give them to you on consignment and want a cut of the profit.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:19 PM

that mulltiple photo of Axl makes me not want to go to this show.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:21 PM

319 non-ticketmaster artist presale for roger waters made getting front row tickets a cake walk. i've never used a bot.

non-TM artist presales are your best friend when it comes to scalping. all hard tickets, no will-call, fast shipping times, easier to get better seats; everything in your favor.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:22 PM

roger waters artist presale: roger waters ticketmaster onsale

GNR presale: GNR ticketmaster onsale

make sense?

walk in the park: shitshow

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:23 PM

3:22, If that's the case, you got lucky this time. Artist/fanclub presales don't always guarantee you fronts. And usually when they do, they make you pick them up at the box office on the night of the show, and you don't know what you have until you pick them up.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:25 PM

yes 318, if I spent over a hundred bucks to see a fake band playing off of the history of one of it's members great old band in a venue that will be renamed for one night after the former much cooler venue it once was, I would indeed be pretending to have a life.

Instead, I will do something else with the real life I do have.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:25 PM

My personal favorite, as a scalper, is the Phish ticket lottery system that is meant to deter scalpers, when it really just guarantees that we get the tickets since we are always the first to register for the lottery (actual fans are too high, take a few days to notice registration is open). Makes my NYE every year :)

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:26 PM

to add to 3:25, that is the case for Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, and many other bands that have fan pre-sales. You get the tix directly from their organization, but they don't tell you what you have until night of when you pick them up.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:26 PM

The old Ritz....so much cooler than the new Webster Hall

The real Guns N Roses.... so much better than the new Guns N Roses

The old ticket price........so much cheaper than the new ticket price

You do the math.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:27 PM

3:27 - I saw GnR younger, all original members many years ago. Why would I pay 10x more to see something inferior?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:30 PM

Let's see, a band pretending to be the old band, and a venue pretending to be the old venue.

Yeah, $125 plus? That's a lot for a cover band at a masquerade ball.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:31 PM

Too expensive, and too silly/not authentic.

a pretty expensive joke if you ask me.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:32 PM

artist presales don't tell you what section your tickets are in? that's just a load of shit, literally doesn't make sense.

who would buy a ticket to aerosmith at MSG through a presale, pay xxx amount of money, and not even know what section they are getting? show me one example of when that's happened.

i know phish does it, but that doesn't matter bc nye shows resell for bank regardless of section

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:33 PM

Because of Webster Hall, Terminal 5 will be easier, and because of Terminal 5, Roseland will be easiest.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:33 PM

black keys artist presale told you specific sections, mailed hard tickets. i got mine in the mail last week. west ga baybay.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:34 PM

roger waters presale told you section, but WC only. but you could easily pull tix in the first 3 rows if you were there right at the onsale via rogerwaters.com. $250 a ticket, sure, but buy 4 sell 3 and you're looking at some serious profit

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:36 PM

How come there isn't a package price for all three shows?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:36 PM

why would anyone in the world want to go to all three shows??

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:37 PM

hahaha $20000 really isn't a lot of money.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:37 PM

if you have tickets to webster, i don't see any reason to go to the other two shows.

going to all three shows is just dumb.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:38 PM

3:33 - It absolutely makes sense. Both Pearl Jam and Aerosmith have a system where they hold the entire front section (or a large chunk of it), and sell it to the fan club. You don't know what seats you're getting, but you know that you have a really good chance at the best seats in the house. If you have seniority (i.e. you've been in the club longer than other people), you'll get the better seats every time. For the members who do not have seniority, it's more random.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:41 PM

Totally hilarious how this scalper dude is laying it down here. I mean yeah, fuck scalpers, I agree, but damn - you know a bunch of you are thinking "I guess it isn't really any different than the stock market..."

Posted by streetdude | January 31, 2012 3:44 PM

3:33, not true. Roseland is on a Friday night, and people hate T5 (which is on a Sunday night). I think T5 will be the easiest.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:48 PM

Webster Hall Capacity 1400

Terminal 5 Capacity 3000

Roseland Capacity 3500

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 3:56 PM

3:06,

You DON'T provide a service, you merely cause frustration. Purchasing tickets via Ticketmaster or a box office isn't something we need someone else to do for us.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:12 PM

i just wanna know where the scalpers get the bots so i can be cool like them

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:17 PM

So when will Axl show up?

Who wants to make some bets?

Posted by Marco | January 31, 2012 4:23 PM

412 Here is the service we provide:

You missed out on your chance to get tickets to a show. Now there is a secondary market for tickets (created by scalpers), where you can purchase a ticket at a higher cost. this is because supply and demand has shifted.

you're telling me you'd really rather have there be no scalpers, so that 'sold out' meant there is no way in hell you're getting into that sold out show unless you got a ticket through the original onsale? even if you wanted to pay someone $200 to get in? it's called a free market, it's better for everyone involved. not my fault you bitches pee your pants and buy my tickets for 10x face value instead of standing fast and waiting for prices to drop.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:31 PM

412 just google 'ticketmaster bots'

just know they are illegal. i know a big bot service got shut down a few months ago and all users were included as part of the lawsuit (albeit to a minor degree).

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:32 PM

^^ oops meant 417

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:33 PM

@337 it's $20,000 that you could be making every year on top of whatever you're earning, but aren't because you either lack insight, stand on moral ground that is wet as vagina, or just don't think you can.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:34 PM

I'm really starting to like the scalper person on this thread haha! He is owning!

Somewhat related note: this thread is a spectacular afternoon read.

Posted by Joshua B | January 31, 2012 4:36 PM

@412 i've gotta feeling you'd be a lot more frustrated if you got shut out of a concert by your favorite band, and weren't able to buy tix from a scalper so you had no way of seeing your favorite band. any true music fan would be more frustated by that experience.

Posted by Joshua B | January 31, 2012 4:38 PM

4:36 - Agreed. I'm all for scalping. Scalp the crap out of everything. In the end, scalpers and regular shmoes who are looking to make an extra buck usually end up overbuying. So in the end, I'll buy my ticket at the last minute for half-price from some idiot who bought up too many tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:51 PM

4:31,

By missing out, do you mean "I forgot to buy tickets and therefor need to acquire one via the secondary market" or do you mean "I was buying tickets but you and your shitty bots grabbed them all up so now I have to pay you a premium for using illegal software"?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:52 PM

LOL! $500 scalped for these? Bullshit - these are GA tickets. No one will pay that. I saw GNR in NJ last month and I don't think the Izod Center was even sold out. So this is a FAIL!

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:53 PM

Will there be a presale for James Murphys' LCD expresso. Hope so! I need a cup of J asap.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:55 PM

4:52 - Regardless of whether they buy up the all the tickets or not, ultimately the price of the ticket from a scalper is dictated by supply/demand.
If they buy up too many tickets (which BTW more often than not, they do), the tickets end up selling for less than face value on the night of the show.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:56 PM

@4:34 Nah, my time is worth more than $20000. It's too little reward for the work.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:57 PM

Just saw GNR a month ago. Of the 3 NYC venues, which is the best to see a concert at? I saw GNR in 1991 at Madison Square Garden but I have never been to Roseland, T5, or Webster/Ritz. Opinions?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:58 PM

4:58, Webster Hall, by far.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 4:59 PM

Just got 2 for Roseland. Piece o'cake. Sold out now.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:03 PM

I got 2 for Roseland. Going this way for a few reasons.

1. It's a Friday. I'm a working man and a late show during the week isn't too exciting.

2. Of the three venues, I think Roseland is my favorite. Webster Hall is smaller, obviously, but they pack you in like a sardine there and there is absolutely no room to do anything. Getting past that first bar can be a nightmare. Terminal 5 is one of my least favorite venues in the city. I just hate going to shows there.

3. Actually it's just 2 reasons, a personally preferred venue on a Friday.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:09 PM

I roll like 4:51

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:19 PM

Shit...there are a ton of these on stubhub already...i suspect they will be <face by next week.

Although strangely there are some webster hall tickets on there already with electronic delivery. Bowery up to their old tricks?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:26 PM

@526 people are short-selling, anticipating a market drop. you guys really just need to look at it like an alternative stock market, and then everything makes sense. including the ways to beat the system.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:41 PM

fyi i'm a scalper. buying 4 for webster (2 presale, 2 tm onsale) and zero for all other shows.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:47 PM

2nd roger waters show (aka another free $1300) just announced for yankees stadium, july 7

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 5:48 PM

@548...umm no.

Economics lesson: if demand is static and supply has doubled then market price will drop accordingly.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:05 PM

@605 basic rules of supply and demand don't apply in an economic matrix containing an extremely minute supply (i.e. only seats in the first three rows) against an immeasurable demand (i.e. i'm guessing there are more die-hard roger waters fans in the tri-state area then there are seats in the first three rows of the show yankees stadium, by a multiple of at least 100)

someone should've waited till he/she took econometrics before pussying away from classes with numbers

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:09 PM

SCALPER BRO IS PWNING BV COMMENTS SECTION BAHAHAFAFA

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:14 PM

The "immeasureable demand" is surely dependent on the price point. The question is not how many die-hard fans there are, rather how many are willing to pay a $1300 premium for tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:15 PM

lulz at the 6:05 middle-schooler giving economics lessons based on the 'economics for kids' pamphlet that came with his happy meal. go learn more.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:15 PM

@615 my point still stands just as strong. prices might take a slight dip, but i'll still net over $1,000 easy.

Posted by 609 | January 31, 2012 6:17 PM

fyi RW tix are 275 front row so in order to net $1,000 for RW you only need to sell 3 tickets for 700 dollars each. you can use your 4th and enjoy the show because that's a dead ticket bc of the will-call situation. those are the numbers.

Posted by 609 | January 31, 2012 6:18 PM

I literally love this comments thread.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:23 PM

The Wall is better appreciated further away

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 6:57 PM

6:17 - That's if you actually GET seats in the first 3 rows. You were lucky the first time.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 8:02 PM

802 extremely easy with rogerwaters.com private presale. you'll see that's the case if you get presale access

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2012 8:34 PM

Feed the Rich

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 8:34 AM

the same people who hate scalpers love buying a ticket for half price when a regular person has an extra. you want it both ways: you hate the scalper but you'll rip off any person with an extra.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 10:13 AM

^that is how the market goes...some days sour cream is a $1.69 some days it is $3.49

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 10:42 AM

buying an extra cheaply at the very last minute is not "ripping off anyone". It is not the same thing as a scalper greedily buying up tickets months in advance to charge more money on the tickets. Not equal or comparable.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 10:48 AM

When a regular person has an extra that he is about to eat and is offered half price it's a win win situation for both parties. If not for the person offering half price, the fan with the extra may lose all the money, and have to as they say, eat the ticket. One fan gets some money, the other fan gets in cheap. WIn/Win. The fan going to the parking lot at the last minute is taking a chance that he won't get in. Therefore it is fair that if he does, he gets in for a lower price.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 10:48 AM

A scalper transaction for a fan is a WIn/Lose situation in favor of the scalper.

Get it?

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 10:48 AM

^nope..explain please.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 10:52 AM

I'm assuming for Webster Hall G'N'R, Doors - 9, show - 2am?

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 11:25 AM

11:25 - good one - true

You forgot - show length - 10 mins - Axl throws fit, show over.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 11:30 AM

After ebay/SH fees, profit on any of these shows will be <$50 IF you can sell them - take that to the bank!

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 11:33 AM

craigslist = no fees. it's fucking amateur hour in here.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 11:58 AM

@133 seing how lowest price on stubhub is 250 and face value is 135, and fees are never higher than 15%, i conclude that you probably failed out of middle school.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 11:59 AM

all gone, and i got 2 more for webster.

Posted by scalper x | February 1, 2012 12:01 PM

i pulled 2 for webster with ease

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:02 PM

Got one for Webster Hall via Ticketmaster. Lick my sweaty sack you piece of shit scalper who has been posting here.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:05 PM

Are all these shows will call only?

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:09 PM

1205 hahaha why would i give a shit if you got a ticket or not. doesn't affect me in the slightest

Posted by scalper x | February 1, 2012 12:11 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:12 PM

1209 ticketfast was available for every show

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:12 PM

that was easiest pull ever got 8 tickets for webster hall disaster stubhub is getting piked by the minute looks like a bad investment

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:20 PM

Yeah webster was easy peasy. Like i said yesterday to that fake lying troll scalper, the demand is not gonna be crazy for this show.
Night of show SH is gonna fall rapidly and you will be able to get at least face outside the venue

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:27 PM

T5 Still on. This band is a lot less popular than they/ I thought.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:34 PM

@11:59 take a look at SH now, my friend.
Hit up CL if you want as well. Not much upside.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:34 PM

^Yikes this is worse than the Beyonce Roseland resale!

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:42 PM

1234 it's okay, i sold seven pairs of tickets three days ago for ~$250 each, and now i'm just buying up pairs off stubhub for 180 and sending them to the 250 buyers. thanks for the heads up though, friendo - reaffirming what i've already done. now i know for sure i made the right decision

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:43 PM

Just scored 2 tix general admission at terminal 5. ($192 with shipping)
Totally worth it!

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:44 PM

Hilarious. All these scalpers thinking they were gonna make a killing.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:44 PM

1242 i made $875 profit off beyonce at roseland - that was all about timing. so is this.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:44 PM

I made $2 off of my Cure Beacon ticket back in November..I paid $98 when on sale and got $100 outside with my extra! Huzzah!

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 12:48 PM

Again folks just realize 12:43 and 12:44 number 2 are just stupid fucking trolls. Lying through their teeth.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 1:00 PM

I just made $1,000,000 off of Guns and Roses, Bruce and Pulp..great week for me. Stubhub just sent me an email confirming crossing the 1 mil mark and I will have to pay taxes on it! Uggh oh well i can live with the $720,000 profit...timing is everything!

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 1:05 PM

12:43 that's $27 per ticket after fees - you're ready for Wall St.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 1:15 PM

@12:20 - nice try, but ticket limit was 2.

I pulled 2 for Webster, 2nd try.

Posted by Funderburgh | February 1, 2012 1:54 PM

Ha I gotta laugh..I know Green Day sucks whatever but when they played Webster it was $45..all original members...Guns is $125 with 1 original member...

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 1:59 PM

@159 and green day played the studio, which is 3x smaller.

granted they only played obscure b-sides and pissed everyone in the venue off. oh well.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 2:05 PM

^No they also played the main hall back in 2009?

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 2:06 PM

i'm a scalper and even i'll admit this is a disaster. we won't lose money, but we won't make it either.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 2:07 PM

2:05, they played all new material and then a 9-song set of previously released material. It was awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 3:08 PM

I scored two for Webster this morning. Figured I'm throw em on stubhub and make a profit. Err...the going rate is $180 on stubhub right now. That's about a $20 profit after fees. Instead I'll be going with a friend. Terminal 5 isn't even sold out yet!

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 3:30 PM

Scalper disaster!

Tickets as low as $160 on stubhub already.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:00 PM

Bah! Disaster, schmisaster. T5 might be a disaster, but I think the other 2 shows will end up being hot by night of the show. People will panic, sell off their crap cheap, and tickets will be scarce by day of.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:20 PM

PAHAHAHA!!! The scalper bubble has burst. 302 tickets available for Webster Hall on Stubhub for little over face value (at least to make any sort of profit). That's roughly 25% of capacity. Those are gonna be $20 day of show. Love it.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:21 PM

Come on, you actual thought there would be demand for this? Nobody cares about this incarnation of Guns N Roses. These guys are the epitome of dirthead crap - now and then.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:24 PM

fuck bitches, get hummus

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:26 PM

This was/is a joke.

Nobody is going to pay big bucks for any of thee shows.

This band just doesn't have that kind of fanbase. Especially this version lineup.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:37 PM

Who cares about te band. Axl is a rock god.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:43 PM

About time Terminal 5 sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 4:55 PM

The problem with this....

GNR fans are not old enough or baby boomer enough to have the kind of big money to throw away say on The Stones, McCartney, etc....
They are not young enough to be stupid about spending to much on say LCD, etc.

They are right in the middle and don't really care.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 5:14 PM

this line up has been around for a while now. Long enough to completely expose itself as a fraud/joke. The tickets are too expensive to begin with .

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 5:15 PM

alas, no Buckethead

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 5:26 PM

@514 that's not the problem. the problem is that die-hard GNR fans are the scum of the earth, and probably live under bridges or sling rock for change. they aren't paying $$$ for tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 5:43 PM

a terrible band playing in three terrible venues for a terrible ticket price.

You do the math

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 6:07 PM

Tickets down to $145 on stubhub. That means those people will LOSE about $30 per ticket. Wow.

Scalper disaster.

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 6:15 PM

at this rate amateurs are selling on sh, real scalpers are on cl so they can ditch fees and pull profit

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2012 7:01 PM
