Monster Magnet

Monster Magnet performed Dopes To Infinity in full in NYC at Music Hall of Williamsburg on 1/13 and the next night at Starland Ballroom in NJ, the only places the band performed the album.

The headliners was joined by Naam, Quest for Fire and Ladykiller! at the NYC show which we have pictured in this post. More pics, along with the setlist (which was the same both nights), below...

They started out a little off, but were scorching by the fourth song. Great show, even if taking "Negasonic" out of the album order was puzzling.

Agreed the show started off a bit blah but really picked up about halfway through.

Dave Wyndorf is looking good too. Whatever meds he's on right now made him blow up and he was twice as fat when they played the Gramercy a couple years ago. Looks like he's fighting it hard.

Some of the slower doom-y songs really sounded huge. Third Alternative was especially epic.

Naam RIPPED. MM was great. Def agree with the slow start but they were destroying by mid set.
