Pazz and JopPazz and JopPazz and JopPazz and Jop

The Village Voice has changed in 39 years, but Pazz & Jop, their annual music critic survey still remains. Each year, just when you forgot that it was still possible to look at another "Best of the year" list, the Voice comes along and prints their Pazz & Jop issue and we get excited about albums that came out the previous year again, or we at least start debating them again. This year's big winners are tUnE-yArDs (best album, 12th best single) and Adele (best single, 8th best single, 6th best album). Look at it all at the Voice's site.

Our own list, if you missed it, is HERE.

Remember when they use to rank EPs as well? That was back when music mattered.

When I see loonyards at #1, I see no reason to venture forward. Music sucks balls these days. Fuzzy rank balls with extra fromunda cheese.

I can stand that record for about 4 songs, then it annoys the fuck out of me. I understand why people like it, but I feel like it's a bit overhyped.

10:05 - I think you're thinking of Bosco Del Gay. Lana Del Gay only put out singles this year

You know who had the best list this year. ME. My List. Cause It's what I like and I don't give a shit what you or anyone else likes. I don't care what you say either.

"tuneyards?!?!?!?! are you fucking kidding me?!?!?! I'm starting to wonder if they only polled female music critics?"

Why would a band with a bunch of dudes appeal to female music critics?

"Why would a band with a bunch of dudes appeal to female music critics?"

Because of the ugly, foul smelling weirdo chick who fronts the band? But, seriously, dudes and indie music don't mix these days. It's just wall to wall pussy music, except for maybe Wild Flag, and they have actual vaginas.
