Real Estate at Williamsburg Waterfront (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Real Estate

Tom Scharpling of "The Best Show on WFMU" directed a new video for Real Estate's "Easy". Check that out below.

The band begins a string of East Coast dates this weekend bookended by a pair of NYC shows. As discussed, look for the band to hit the sold-out Terminal 5 on Saturday (1/14) with Girls and King Krule (who also plays two OTHER sold-out shows this week), but ALSO look for Real Estate to team with The Babies and Dogleather to play K&K Super Buffet in Queens on January 28th. Not familiar with K&K?

K&K SUPER BUFFET is a transformer. Family-style Chinese steam-table buffet restaurant by day... soaring ceiling-ed, opulently decorated, decadent party palace and cheap-assed bar by night. Lots of rooms and zones, great sight lines and terrific vibes. Just off the Myrtle/Wyckoff L train, just over the Queens border in Bushwick Heights, aka Ridgewood, with ample parking for anyone driving in.
Todd P says, "ONLINE ADVANCED TICKETS GO ON SALE SOON". All tour dates are listed below.

Real Estate will also play Coachella 2012, alongside names like Radiohead, Pulp, At The Drive In, Justice, fIREHOSE, Refused, Bon Iver, and many many more.

All tour dates and that "Easy" video is below.

I really hope they had nothing to do with that video. Used to love their first album but this Domino stuff is whack.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 10:27 AM

anyone have Girls tixs to sell?

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 10:29 AM

both of the new real estate videos are demeaning to the music

Todd P still trying to be relevant? Whatever happened to the venue he was supposed to open in LES?

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 10:42 AM

pretty sure Todd P is busy being a dad and being too old for this bullshit unless his friends wanna throw a party

considering babies are on the bill - i doubt vivian girls are also playing

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 11:44 AM

Girls is definitely a weird Bowery Presents sellout. They were practically giving tix away, giving a pair to everyone who bought the new album at Generation Records I think. Should be able to get a ticket for next to nothing if you actually care

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 11:52 AM

yea, expect tons of girls @ t5 tix to be released by bowery presents on the day of. don't pay above face for that shite

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 12:21 PM

I find Real Estate to be boring. That voice, and every song has the same endless guitar sounds.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 12:33 PM

^thanks i'm hoping so! also hoping they will be better than the Webster show...

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 12:34 PM

You guys! I am going to ROCK THE FUCK OUT when Sleigh Bells plays Terminal 5 in February. Fuck this Girls nonsense!

Posted by Awesome Dude | January 10, 2012 12:48 PM

The Edge was at my buffet station.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 12:48 PM

Girls at T5 is a horrible booking. They just did two nights at Bowery over the summer. That was a good booking.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 12:58 PM

@10:27

Do you have Aspberger's? Do you not get social cues? Clearly, this is a bit tongue in cheek.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 1:19 PM

whoa whoa, under the radar slips fiREHOSE!

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2012 1:44 PM

It should be nice

Posted by John | January 10, 2012 2:48 PM
