new years resolution- don't even bother trying to buy tickets. just don't stress out, and go straight to stubhub a few days before. it's guaranteed to work every time, so who the fuck cares at what expense it comes with, right?

Posted by frustrated with haters | January 2, 2012 9:29 PM

Woof! She looka ruff brah!

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2012 10:53 PM

Seriously, does anyone actually care about this chick still? This show can't be a big deal

It's the same story, aging hipster once so much cooler than you, lives hard, gets ugly and is exposed for what they are. Though some of her songs were pretty fun.

Yeah, that album cover where she barfs glitter was incredible but bands who have to change their names because their neither did homework or filed trademark are always faintly pathetic.

Just don't stress out, and go straight to stubhub a few days before.

Posted by Massagista | January 3, 2012 7:19 AM

who's gonna be the TBA at the 2nd weekend of jazzfest? chili peppers? radiohead? black keys??

Posted by Anonymous | January 3, 2012 10:49 AM

just don't stress out, and go straight to ticketmaster day of onsale, then sell on stubhub, then re-buy off stubhub for 25% of your selling price a few days before.

She is talented. First record had some great stuff on it, and felt like it could be the beginning of a cool career. She also made a ton of money on licensing, which is all fine. But she's been battling with Downtown, her record company, over material for the 2nd album for at least two years. Spending tons of time in the studio and not coming up with stuff that they'll let out. Whether it's not up to snuff, or they're being douches, I don't know, but it sounds like record-company hell, and I hope she gets her momentum back and is able to put something decent out.

^ respectable assessment ... saw her open for Gnarls Barkley a few years back and thought she was a poor-man's MIA...then I heard her style and music and was pretty much convinced. Other artists do like to work w/ her though #yougogirl

"is it really possible this show sold out in less than a minute? i tried on ticketmaster at 12:00pm and no luck."

No it is not possible. It didn't Lots of giveaways to industry and the usual BP shenanigans. You will see more tickets appear in the coming days and they will be selling night of at the box office.
Although instead of wondering about this 12:11, maybe you should be questioning your taste in music and why you are a fucking moron who would want to go to this shit. Try living in 2012 and not a flash in the pan from from 3 years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2012 12:37 PM

my friend called ticketmaster and the venue. it's sold out.

"maybe you should be questioning your taste in music and why you are a fucking moron who would want to go to this shit. Try living in 2012 and not a flash in the pan from from 3 years ago."

Oh get the fuck over yourself, you douchebag. As if 90% of today's acts won't be flashes in the pan come 2015.

Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2012 1:43 PM

That might be true 1:49 but that still does not detract from the fact that you are an incredible loser for wanting to see this has been flash in the pan now.

Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2012 1:55 PM

yeah dude god forbid you like an artist for more than 12 months! poseur!

Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2012 2:02 PM

No, more like knowing what good music is and knowing a piece of shit flash in the pan whose time has passed. Moron.

Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2012 2:31 PM
