I spy a Dessner...

Three of last night's big events in NYC:
* Sharon Van Etten & Fred Armisen were on Fallon.
* Van Halen played Cafe Wha?. Jimmy Fallon was in the audience.
* Portlandia Season 2 had a premiere party at The Museum of Natural History. Fred Armisen was (obviously) in attendance.
Watch videos of Sharon and Fred (who also played music) on Fallon, including a Fred Armisen web exclusive, below...

Fred Armisen is often funny and anonymous people never get any action outside truckstop glory holes.

You guys are SO RIGHT. Fred is not funny. That's exactly why he's on 2 big shows, has over 5M viewers for his own, and you guys are doing so great here being smart with such original content and it's a shame HBO or anybody haven't picked you up yet. Gee. I wonder why. But fuck the mainstream, man. Amiright?
One-handed claps all around!

Fred Armisen was at Generation Records for Record Store Day last year. He was nice.
Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2012 12:57 PM
Record Store day is almost as big a joke as Armisen.

I met Fred Armisen at one of the Yo La Tengo Hanukkah shows last year, and he was exceedingly nice.

Fred Armisen is the Ted Leo of comedy. And, that is in no way a compliment.
