Ted Leo @ The Bell House
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists

Attention those in (army jackets in) attendance at the Bell House on 12/30:

"Tall guy in army jacket w a great smile, you danced next to me and my friend. You piled your black coat on my bag and coat.
Where did you go?
Does this ever work? I'm giving it a shot."
[Ted Leo at The Bell House - w4m (Park Slope )]
Attention Jonah:
you should call/email me so I can give my friend's number to your friend. She was waiting for him to ask.
Like you said "that should totally happen"
L [Jonah, we met at the Ted Leo show - w4m (The Bell House)]
The Ted Leo & The Pharmacists show at the Bell House on 12/30 with Obits, Ted's first of two end-of-year shows with crowd surfing comedian Kurt Braunohler, was full of missed connections. Here are some pictures. Ted, Kurt and special guest Sharon Van Etten also played Maxwell's on New Year's Eve.

More pictures & videos (including Ted doing Waterboys and MC5 covers) from the Bell House below...

is the new drummer for obits formerly in gvsb?

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2012 4:20 PM

Wow. The 2 girls in the last photo before the Ted photos were beyond drunk all night and screaming over everything. They demanded Ted dedicate a song to them, which he declined and they shouted over much of Kurt's set. Just awful human being. Death to swollen Daria!

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2012 5:42 PM

@4:20..looks like him. and that would make sense, since Obits did their first record w/ Eli Janney of GVSB

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2012 6:10 PM

Yep. That's Alexis Fleisig. Also was in Soulside.

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2012 6:36 PM

5:42 agreed. those women are heroes and should be treated as such. Anyone know who they are?

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2012 6:53 PM

amelia is a hero! I now have a crush on you. Anyone who heckles Ted Leo is sexy!

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2012 10:19 PM

I may be wrong, but I thought heckling was shouting things like, "You suck!", not "Amy loves you!" and "We went Christmas shopping with your mom!"

Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2012 1:24 PM

sorry! when we go to shows we have fun.. next time ill make sure to stand around like a fuckin robot.

Posted by Anonymous | January 15, 2012 12:44 PM

not defending those girls, but there is a point to be made here: people who regularly go to the bell house are normally 30-something locals who are on the last step before kids or becoming a cat lady. of course theyre going to bitch about people who are making it hard to hear the act (they are also probably wearing earplugs).
