Bleached @ Knitting Factory
Bleached

We missed the first opener Habibi, but Bleeding Rainbow (formerly Reading Rainbow), Jack White's friends The Black Belles, and their tour-mates Bleached (ex Mika Miko) at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on Saturday night (2/11). Here are some pictures.

Now in Chicago, The Black Belles will peform at an Anti-Valentine's event before their show with Bleached at Empty Bottle. The two bands then part ways and Bleached hits the road with Veronica Falls who also played NYC over the weekend.

Too many pics of mic stands and monitors. Need more pics of the audience -- otherwise it looks like a practice session.

Habibi was the best band on this bill. Unfortunate you didn't list them or have photos of them.

^And cue the member of Habibi with the obvious double-post. Like clockwork.

The chick dressed like a witch is way hotter than the fat blonde chick wearing the leopard print top.

Loved Bleached.

Hope they release an LP this year. They did most of their single tracks, a couple of good new ones that haven't been released yet, and great covers of "Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World" and "Horror Business," to boot. Great audience too.

missed bleading rainbow but caught black belles. very short set, like 20 minutes? some of their songs rocked but overall kind of lackluster. 1st time seeing bleached, they were fucking great. crowd was a little reserved at first but then let loose and started moshing and stagediving. that guy landing on the ground with a thud was pretty loud. no circle pit?

That stagediving guy jumped headfirst to the floor a couple of times. Hilarious. He and his friends were standing right next to me, and they were definitely on some pretty heavy shit.

I missed the first two acts, and I wasn't too enthused about Black Belles; Jack White's imprint seemed a little heavy, but maybe they'll grow out of it.

Bleached was super great.

What was there a rule against photographing Black Belles in color or something?

THAT'S WHAT THIS WEBSITE IS FOR, 3:43. RETARDED SHIT HIPSTER INDIE BANDS THAT WON'T MEAN SHIT IN 5 YEARS.

I had the good fortune and timing to meet the Black Belles outside of the Knitting Factory on the street before the show - they were really nice ;) and signed my CD too. The father & the little girl were GREAT folks and really cool - I actually respect the fact that the kid is into this type of music instead of Miley Cyrus OR Lady GaGa (awful!!!!!)I wish more of the kids were these days.....
