Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk will kick off a "Kraftwerk-Restrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7" residency at The Museum of Modern Art from April 10-17, playing an album in full each night. They'll play 1974's Autobahn on 4/10, 1975's Radio-Activity on 4/11, 1977's Trans Europe Express on 4/12, 1978's The Man-Machine on 4/13, 1981's Computer World on 4/14, 1986's Techno Pop (aka Electric Cafe) on 4/15, 1991's The Mix on 4/16, and 2003's Tour de France Soundtracks on 4/17. According to a press release:

Each evening will consist of a live performance, in the Museum's Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium, of works from one of the group's eight albums, created over four decades, followed by a selection of original compositions from their catalogue adapted specifically for this exhibition's format, to showcase both Kraftwerk's historical contributions and contemporary influences on sound and image culture.
Tickets for all 8 shows go on sale Wednesday, February 22 at noon.

The press release also notes that "presentation of Kraftwerk's historical audio and visual material" will be on view at The Performance Dome at MoMA PS1 from April 10 - May - 14 in Long Island City, Queens.

Cash grab. Dudes can't sing any longer

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:53 PM

just pooped a little

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:54 PM

Wait, is this like an Interpol side project? That dude quit right?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:54 PM

Probably a cash grab, but $25 a night is pretty cheap for this.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:55 PM

can someone do me a solid and list the albums in order from great to horrible?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:55 PM

3:55 - they're already in order.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:57 PM

trans euro and man machine are best

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:57 PM

BV forgot to mention an essential piece of information:

Doors open at 8:00pm, event begins at 8:30pm.

There is a two ticket per person limit for the entire series. Once you have purchased two tickets, you will be unable to purchase tickets for any other Kraftwerk performance.

Valid ID matching the ticket holder name on the order will be required for entry.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:58 PM

3:55

Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express, Man-Machine, Computer World, Radio Activity, Tour De France, and the rest.

IMHO, of course

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:58 PM

@3:55, you'd have pretty good luck checking out Computer World or anything before it

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:58 PM

without Florian, there is no Kraftwerk

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:58 PM

Krautrock!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:58 PM

unfortunately the only original member performing is ralf but I guess it does not matter right. Still gonna be kind of great. Should be quite difficult to get tickets especially for trans Europe express and man machine

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 3:58 PM

WILL BLOW DUDES FOR TICKETS

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:00 PM

everybody bring their Hewlett-Packard printers to this and turn it into the greatest 'performance enhancement' ever!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:01 PM

It sucks that you can only go to one show in the whole series.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:05 PM

Cash grab??? Tix are $25! Idiot!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:05 PM

if i not mistaken only one member is "original" Ralf Hutter ..

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:08 PM

x 8 shows. Idiot!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:08 PM

But I already saw Coldplay's X&Y tour.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:11 PM

3:58 that does suck but this means no date for these shows. One ticket for 2 of the shows.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:12 PM

"x 8 shows. Idiot!"

They could play a WORLD TOUR...in much larger venues than x8 at MoMA! IDIOT!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:12 PM

"They could play a WORLD TOUR...in much larger venues than x8 at MoMA! IDIOT!!! "

But what, they don't because they such true "artists?" Get your head out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:16 PM

fuck. yes.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:18 PM

If you make a stupid comment here, you obviously have no idea who the F--K this band actually is. If you are unaware of the importance of Kraftwerk, you are much less 'hip' than you project yourself to be. Go jam out to some chillwave.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:19 PM

Great. Decide to do this over a Coachella weekend. Really...just swell.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:20 PM

4:19. I've forgotten more about Kraftwerk than you've ever known.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:21 PM

"But what, they don't because they such true "artists?"

Putting sarcastic quotation marks around "artists" when describing Kraftwerk is laughably absurd. Your logic is juvenile at best.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:22 PM

4:22 Why, did these dudes paint the Mona Lisa or something?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:23 PM

Oh shit that is right @4:20 the best albums of these shows are being done Coachella weekend. That is great. Thank you MOMA. Should make it a little easier to get tickets. Nice kick in the ass also to the dumb people who go to terrible big festivals like Coachella. You deserve to miss shows like this

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:25 PM

"4:19. I've forgotten more about Kraftwerk than you've ever known. "

Spoken like someone who couldn't even name 2 Kraftwerk songs. Bravo d-bag, bravo!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:28 PM

holy moly this is gonna be FUUUUUUUUUN

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:28 PM

4:28 Whatever dude, I bet your copy of Man Machine has the lyrics in English.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:30 PM

"WILL BLOW DUDES FOR TICKETS"

Funny since most hipsters will do just that and not even for tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:30 PM

"Why, did these dudes paint the Mona Lisa or something?"

Yes, because the term artist only refers to someone with a paint brush. Btw, nice reference on the only painting you know by name.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:30 PM

@4:25 Thanks (but no thanks) for the snarky condolences. Good thing I've already seen Kraftwerk twice already. That and babes in bikinis will make the suffering a little more tolerable.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:30 PM

I saw the Minimum-Maximum tour at Hammerstein a few years back, and it was pretty fun, I'm sure this will be interesting.

As a side note: it's cool that tickets are only $25.00, Ticketmaster's not involved (and MOMA is), you can only buy 2 tickets to one performance, and it's will call only. Should stop scalpers, and give lots of people the chance to see it. (Even if you get stuck seeing The Mix).

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:31 PM

Should be at Terminal 5.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:31 PM

if you didn't go through a kraftwerk phase at some point in your life, you need to take a good long look at yourself in the mirror. somewhere, you messed up.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:32 PM

WILL TAKE SAUSAGE IN THE BUTT FOR TICKETS

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:33 PM

4:32 Even the greatest stars find their face in the looking glass.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:34 PM

@4:30, When you start a sentence with "Whatever dude...", you automatically disqualify yourself as being taken seriously. Whatever dude, right?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:34 PM

Why is that? Is this a high school debate? No, it's a series of anonymous internet comment. It's not meant to be taken seriously.

PS. I still know more about everything than you.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:37 PM

Very cool, though I'm bummed that it conflicts with the Pulp @ Radio City, and the Chickfactor shows. April is fucking bonkers.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:38 PM

I wish more big shows would have a ticket policy like this one...

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:38 PM

"Probably a cash grab, but $25 a night is pretty cheap for this."

Tickets were $50 last time and it sold out (granted, it was only one show).

Don't expect much from their live shows, you are basically going to the videos/multimedia. They pretty much press play on a laptop.

Get Rother back in the band and play the first two albums.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:48 PM

"They pretty much press play on a laptop."

that may be true, but it's not like that's ever been different.

basically Kraftwerk songs blasting in a live setting with all sorts of awesome visuals is gonna be sick.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:52 PM

"PS. I still know more about everything than you."

Ok, you made me laugh

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 4:52 PM

@4:48 - Rother didn't play on any recorded Kraftwerk material and he did a fair amount of laptop fiddling at the Hallogallo shows last year as well.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 5:04 PM

Rolling Stone reports the visuals will be 3-D.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 5:12 PM

press and play. should be exciting!

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 5:44 PM

i'm gonna be super stressed out when a band i really like does this

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 5:47 PM

Will this residency be accoustic?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 6:24 PM

hope i dont get fucked on tixxxxx

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 6:38 PM

Saw then in Denver, 1975. Autobahn tour. Eat it, kiddos.

Posted by Karl | February 15, 2012 8:35 PM

ok, so karl (8.35) is old. we get it.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 9:34 PM

So wait, when do Boards of Canada go on?

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 10:40 PM

IF I get a tix to this...Ill be VERY happy

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2012 11:19 PM

id buy a package for every show if they had it. and by package i mean dick...of course.

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2012 11:10 PM

conflicts with blowchella

Posted by Anonymous | February 16, 2012 11:18 PM

Why can't we all just get along? All of these records are great except maybe Electric Cafe. Almost everybody that uses synths has been influenced by them. Radiohead should be giving these guys royalty checks for everything they've done since Kid A. Personal favorite is Computer World.

Posted by Bob | February 18, 2012 4:35 PM

Radiohead should give soooo many people royalty checks they would probably go broke.

Posted by ME | February 22, 2012 10:52 AM

slowness, can't get in!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:02 PM

anyone get in?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:04 PM

qing

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:05 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:08 PM

In the queue for Radioactivity, Autobahn, and FINALLY got in the queue for Man Machine.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:09 PM

got in the queue on 12pm on the dot... what do they only process 1 purchase @ a time? I wonder what the surcharge is, never done this before.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:09 PM

this is a silly joke. i hate waiting rooms/queues/etc.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:10 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:13 PM

I was in the queue right @ noon.. and just now, it tried to forward me but I got a "connection reset" server not responding back.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:13 PM

they should've hedged the onsales; 8 high demand shows going onsale at the same second? not even tmaster can handle that.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:13 PM

oh brother, lost my spot in the queue. feeling doomed

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:14 PM

somewhere, in some dank basement, a hamster runs in a wheel, powering showclix

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:17 PM

The message at 12:15PM is also up for The Mix.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:18 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:19 PM

Been in the Autobahn waiting room since almost 12 on the dot and I just got that message. Anyone actually get tix? Everyone I know is in waiting rooms.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:19 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:20 PM

i don't see a SINGLE person on twitter or otherwise saying OMG GOT TIX so it looks like NOBODY bought anything yet so no cause to worry yet

I got tickets!!! in my alternate reality!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:25 PM

haven't seen anything on stubhub/craigslist; also, noone on twitter talking about anything other then being the queue

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:26 PM

coworker got a couple of tickets to the first night. also, the queue they're using it's a real queue at all -- it's totally random. you're best bet is to load 40 or so browsers of the show you want to see and check in on them. they're making a json request after like 120 seconds, then returning a "1" if you get through or a "0" if you're stuck in waiting hell.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:26 PM

well for such a "high tech" band, this is insanely old school...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:27 PM

I think the internet is going to explode. take cover.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:27 PM

The 12:15PM message just disappeared from the queue!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:27 PM

and...timed out for the third time

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:27 PM

FYI: call Showtix at 724-653-6903. I was able to get tickets then. Screw this waiting room nonsense like Ticketweb!

Hope that helps!

Posted by Tiki | February 22, 2012 12:29 PM

I GOT TIX

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:30 PM

The Showclix website: 503 Service Unavailable
No server is available to handle this request.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:33 PM

Why all the interest for Kraftwerk all of a sudden? The last time Kraftwerk played, there was not much demand.

Is it because they are playing full albums? They never had a solid front-to-back album, every album had filler, or at least, songs that will not translate live.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:35 PM

Ha "Did you know you can order tickets online?"

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:36 PM

it's kraftwerk in 3d is why!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:36 PM

sale fail

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:36 PM

I've heard of these guys, didn't they open for Radiohead once?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:36 PM

1235pm
1) since they haven't played here since 2005 right?
2) they never done playing full albums and the capacity will be less than 500. probably more like 400? its in theater inside moma right?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:37 PM

hey assholes, hang up already with showclix so the rep can take care of me.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:38 PM

I thought it was just in the lobby of MoMA

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:38 PM

its not a theatre its the atrium...saw sigur ros there, huge crowd...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:39 PM

30 minutes on queue and "can’t open the page “http://www.showclix.com/event/220358/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding."

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:39 PM

1239 its not huge! prob 500 at most!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:40 PM

This ticketing system is insulting and a total waste of time. MoMA is a corporate shithole. Looking forward to Unsound.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:41 PM

i'd wager more than 1000 a night in that space...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:42 PM

Damn...can't get up to take a piss cuz I'm stuck monitoring these useless spinning wheels of death!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:42 PM

just got hung up on essentially by showclix.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:43 PM

1242 i'm one step ahead of you

*pees into water bottle*

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:43 PM

At least ShowClix plays the same song over and over for hold music, that's really taking the edge off this whole ordeal.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:45 PM

can't someone just confirm all the tickets are gone so i can quit it with all this hope nonsense?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:45 PM

scalpers are on eBay already.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:47 PM

heard from a friend computer world is now sold out. he got an internet msg.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:47 PM

Not only can I not hold my water much longer, I think it's time we all face the sad facts folks. It's scalper time.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:47 PM

Shows are all sold out. They were sold out 30 minutes ago.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:48 PM

waited on the phone for like 20 minutes-got a guy who told me-WE HAVE A LOTTA CALLS RIGHT NOW!-then put me back on hold. #veryprofessional

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:51 PM

Computer World is sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:51 PM

i'm sure people from all around the world are trying to score a pair...

anyway their lame system plays in our favor maybe....if they're not yet sold out, then there is hope...since they cant seem to sell them...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:51 PM

just spoke to guy at showclix; man machine/trans euro/comp world are all sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:53 PM

12:51#1 - Uh huh...and your girlfriend is over here hitting my refresh button. Fucking liar.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:53 PM

so they are not all sold out...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:54 PM

Let's put it this way: the shows aren't sold out, but good fucking luck getting a ticket.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:55 PM

Just scored one for Computer World.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:55 PM

12:53, don't call me a liar, i'm a troll. big difference.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:55 PM

i blame Florian

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:57 PM

I gotta pee...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:59 PM

this system sucks so much. I've been booted for no reason twice and had get back in the queue. I am screwed.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:01 PM

Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to www.showclix.com

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:01 PM

this might be the worst ticketing experience yet.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:01 PM

contemplating driving over to the box office instead...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:02 PM

"but good fucking luck getting a ticket."

thanks einstein!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:02 PM

Showclix hung up on me after 30 minutes.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:03 PM

Wow, after 50 minutes on hold, being kicked out of the online queue way too times, 503 errors, etc, I got tix! And this was *after* the site told me Trans Europe was already sold out.

Keep trying people, there is hope!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:03 PM

Time to embrace the horror. The unconnected were never meant to get $25 tickets in the first place. I bet people like Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson aren't in some kinda bullshit online queue.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:04 PM

JUST pulled a single for Autobahn a few minutes ago. After about 5 crashes/disconnections/etc.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:04 PM

back to red messages

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:06 PM

Got two to Autobahn over the phone. The guy said Computer World is sold out, as is The Mix and Man Machine. At the time he had one left to Trans, but that must have gone by now. Good luck!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:07 PM

their site is down now

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:07 PM

"All tickets for all Kraftwerk performances are either being held by other users while they're being purchased or completely sold-out. If those ticket buyers that have reserved tickets do not complete their reservation, those tickets will become available for purchase again within a few minutes."

the site says that tix to all performances are sold out now or in someone's shopping cart.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:08 PM

Just got a ticket for Trans Europe Express at 1:05, but would only let me get a single.

FYI, you have to enter all your information super quickly, so have your info on hand, and be ready. Far less time than TicketMaster gives you.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:08 PM

yup...showclix just disconnected me after being on hold for 45 minutes

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:10 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:12 PM

At least according to Jim at Showlix who I just spoke with, all tickets are completely sold out and have been for about the last 10 minutes.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:14 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:15 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:17 PM

@4:25 - I bet you still didn't get tickets despite all the "dumb people" going to Coachella did ya? You deserve to miss shows like this too.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:26 PM

Sorry - but since there was such high demand and a limited number of tickets available - this event has sold out! We wish there was more inventory available, but space was very limited. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:26 PM

Just scored a ticket for The Mix.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:26 PM

The problem was that everyone wanted to see their top albums (Man Machine, Trans Euro Exp., & Comp. World). I should have just picked one of their crappier albums to start with.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:27 PM

Everything is a class warfare issue now, huh? Got any proof?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:28 PM

ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh

that is ALL

1:27 - I tried that approach and still got no tickets. I think most people probably opened up at least one browser for each night and would have taken any night they were able to get.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:31 PM

so the wheel spins but stil no word of it sold out or not...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:35 PM

Aww shucks! Well KraftWerk ain't that good anyway!
/kicks dirt

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:35 PM

1:31 you're probably right. I didn't do that because if you try opening several browsers at once for ticketmaster they boot you from all queues. I am still in line for Techno Pop. I'll let everyone know what goes down.

MOMA website says its all sold out

http://www.moma.org/visit/calendar/exhibitions/1257

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:36 PM

Was just hung up on again after 30 minutes. Website keeps allowing me to select a ticket then saying none are available.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:37 PM

anyone who think they got tickets actually get a confirmation e-mail?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:43 PM

Received confirmation email for tix.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:43 PM

Kim Kardashian got tickets and that is all that matters!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:55 PM

Just reached someone at ShowClix. She said that the entire series is officially sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:56 PM

I got tickets to every night. Skrillex is opening, right?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:57 PM

Dead5aus is opening duh

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 1:59 PM

i spoke to a human at the showclix she said there were only 150 tix per show...that just can't be right...

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:14 PM

i got tickets for autobahn AND man machine on my first try, are you guys retarded or something?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:21 PM

This was bound to happen. The size of the venue, the ticketing system, the 2 ticket limit. This clearly wasn't set up for longtime fans who want to see every night. Instead of being excited about the opportunity to see them play several of your favorite albums, you feel frustrated. First you have to pick which one you want to go to, then you have to wait 30 - 40 minuets just to find out it's sold out. They should have picked a bigger venue to do this, done away with the 2 tickets per person and used a different ticketing system.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:28 PM

2:14 - 150 tickets for humans. 350 for humanoids.

Seriously though... anyone a MoMA member? Did they have a member presale too? If I'd known they were doing a Kraftwerk retrospective I would've renewed my membership

No presale for MoMA members. Will be scouring resale sights where I can let my money do the talking & waiting in 'virtual cues'.

Posted by MoMA Member | February 22, 2012 2:46 PM

I got my order to finally go thru, around 12:45... looks like it charged my credit card, got a confirmation ID.. but as of 2:46pm, still no email.. they didn't mention that you were supposed to get an email, but I printed the receipt to paper with my confirmation ID that it did go thru and that my card would be charged.

For those that got an email, how long AFTER you got the order thru did you get an email from them?

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:47 PM

Hammerstein Ballroom
Capacity - 3,900 (Standing/Concerts)

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:50 PM

2:47 - I received a confirmation email from ShowClix.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:50 PM

Got booted three times. No tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:51 PM

2:50, this is 2:47, how long after your order went thru did you get an email confirmation? Thanks for the info! 2:47, is the info on the email the same as your order confirmation page that had the "PRINT" button on it?

I am sure their email servers got CLOGGED. They aren't used to this kind of show where people were clamoring like this.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 3:02 PM

Ugh, reading this I should have been on the phone too, I naively thought that the miracle of the internet would get me tix, if I appropriately waited. I got through the que and was only allowed to purchase 1 ticket. $%()Q&@$)*! so lame so lame. So I guess there is a rock paper scissors game coming up to pick who gets to go. THEN I have to go to the box office with my friend to make sure he gets in.....

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 3:05 PM

The confirmation was within 5 minutes of purchase from donotreply@showclix.com.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 3:05 PM

@3:05, what kind of info was in that confirmation email? was it the same info as was on the order confirmation page with the "PRINT" button on it? Thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 3:07 PM

@ 3:35pm... thanks for that info.. it is EXACTLY the same as the info that those who got their orders thru got on the final step where you could hit "PRINT"... I should be ok, but I have still to receive and actual email. Been checking my spam filter too. Thanks again for the info. This whole thing was a big mess, even if you were lucky enough to get tickets.
