"I was really surprised. I didn't know anything about it. I wasn't happy about it," Madonna told Seacrest of M.I.A.'s flipped bird.Madonna's September 6th Yankee Stadium show sold out this morning, so they added a 2nd show. The new date is September 8th and tickets go on presale Tuesday morning..."I understand it's punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity, it seemed negative. It's such a teenager...irrelevant thing to do," she continued. "What was the point? It was just out of place."
Onsale to General PublicIn related news, though it wasn't that funny (but for the record), like "Lana Del Rey" before her, "M.I.A." appeared on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. M.I.A. was there to discuss her Superbowl Halftime incident from the week before. You can watch that, and "Bein' Quirky with Zooey Deschanel" from the same episode (Bjork guest appearance included), below.

Kristen Wiig is usually pretty funny but her Bjork impersonation was terrible.

10 years from now we won't remember who played in the superbowl, but we will remember mia's finger. too bad she was wearing underwear.

Moddonna should be apologizing to us for her dismal performance and her retarded illuminati imagery she utilized. Who does she think she is with all that pomp and circumstance? Somebody important? She is pretty much expired. -Next-

945 shut up
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 10:19 PM
9:45 here... I will not "shut-up". The truth needs to be exposed like the way you expose a hummus platter at your dinner parties.

Just belly aching at the scalpers crying right now after she added a second show at that shrine to all things bad musically. Tickets are going to be so cheap the week of the show I almost feel bad for anyone who actually paid full price for this crap. Almost.

Holy SHIT when is Boards of CANADA making a new album?
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 10:56 PM
Lots of suckers got caught buying tickets for the first show nosebleeds.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 10:57 PM
10:57, Yes but you can be sure these pathetic creatures, after sitting in those nosebleeds listening to her lip synch and watching her on the video screens, will come on here the next day and say she killed and the show was mind blowing.

You must admit though, it WAS out of place...

1056 tix in the sections closest to the stage are still all over $1500

rich old homos will gladly pay top dollar for Madonna's shit.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 7:53 AM
Another example of why it's stupid to buy tickets day of on-sale to shows like this.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 7:58 AM
Ha ha..lulz..even when Madonna played MSG a few years ago tickets were in the gutter. I got a pair of tickets for $40 on that tour. This show we are going to be the same price as Roger Waters...So Roger Waters, Madonna and two subway tickets rt will run me about $30....worth a laugh indeed.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 8:23 AM
It is funny that you would even pay $30 to see Madonna.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 8:28 AM
Is this tour accoustic?
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 8:38 AM
8:28...READ IT AGAIN! $30 for Madonna, Roger Waters and 2 RT train tickets. So that works out to $10 a show and $9 for 4 train tickets.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 9:11 AM
7:47, of course they are. The shows are many months away; people are going to try to get as much as they can now. Prices won't drop until much closer to the show.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 9:21 AM
You guys are a bunch of "Heatless Bastards"...it is like an "Arrow" to the heart. I wish the tickets though were "AVAILABLE NOW!"
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 10:08 AM
wonder if The Blacks had a problem with MIA's one finger salute?
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 10:21 AM
^ pathetic
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 10:22 AM
It did seem contrived and out of place (middle finger)
I'm with Madonna on this one.
Posted by Burg | February 14, 2012 10:47 AM
I'm with Madonna too, that just seemed so lame? Who cares either way though.
Posted by Kate Jeux | February 14, 2012 11:25 AM
I don't like it that a filthy uncouth foreigner hoochie flipped the bird during the Super Bowl. If a red blooded American felt the urge to do likewise, I'd be down with that though.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 11:50 AM
It turns out MIA was just letting everyone know how may minutes of fame she had left. No offense intended.
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 11:54 AM
MIA should have flashed her twat instead. that would have been punk rock!
Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2012 12:10 PM
