Baroness at Chaos in Tejas (more by Tim Griffin)

While some may place the blame squarely on them for the emergence of "djent" as a subgenre, others will celebrate the news that technical metal band Meshuggah are heading out on the road in celebration of a new LP Koloss due in March via Nuclear Blast. The Swedes will team up with Baroness and Decapitated for a string of US dates that will include a stop at Terminal 5 on May 23rd. Tickets for the NYC show go on sale 2/10.
Baroness are currently working on a new LP as well, due via Relapse later this year. Still no word as to title for the record or a concrete release date.
All tour dates and some videos below.

Meshuggah are great, but are they really big enough to headline T5? Would be a much better show at Webster Hall if this is promoted by Bowery Presents.

Saw them at Irving Plaza. It was over packed crazy sauce. Scary packed.
And I think I saw someone fall down the stairs and break their neck. Not because the show was violent. But because the dude was so fucked up he slipped on the top step and sailed all the way to the bottom landing neck first.

12:05: Ouch on that story, but I'm not surprised.
And yes, it was packed. I think the whole floor shook during "Bleed" since EVERY one was jumping in harmony.
