One day after they headlined the Don Giovanni showcase at Music Hall of Williamsburg, Screaming Females, who were just added to Chaos in Tejas, began a record store tour at Generation Records in the West Village. The band is now making its way to Chicago where the free in-stores tour ends at Permanent Records. Here are some pictures from the NYC show. More of them below...

I don't know this band Screaming Females, but u had a "screaming female" situation the other night, let me explain...
So there I was at my girlfriends house discussing our plans for the evening. She wanted to go to the east village which was a good idea because I was yearning to hit the bar and knock down a few pabst blue ribbons. We jumped in the car service and on our way we stopped at Mamouns to grab a bite. When we placed our order the gentleman behind the counter informed us it was cash only, and I only had my credit card and she had nothing. When it appeared we wouldn't be eating any hummus, oh boy, my female started screaming!

Generation Records isn't in the WEST village. It's in Greenwich Village proper. Have you even been to the West Village? You serioulsy think they'd have a punk/metal record store over there?

I agree with you that Generation Records is not in the West Village, but in Greenwich Village, but there have been punk/metal stores in the West Village in the past. Bleecker Records has a lot of punk, but not like Generation. I believe they might have the same owner.

bleecker records and generation are owned by the same people.
