Squeeze

UK new wave pioneers Squeeze, who reunited in 2007, have a few US festival dates this year including Coachella in April. They just recently announced that they'll also be playing some other US shows that same month including a NYC show happening on April 28 on Roseland Ballroom and an Englewood, NJ show happening on April 23 at Bergen Performing Arts Center. Both of those shows are with The English Beat. Tickets for the Roseland show ($55 Advance, $60 Day of Show) go on sale Friday (2/24) at 10am, but there's also a presale that starts 24 hours earlier. Tickets for the NJ show go on sale Friday at noon.

WHY ROSELAND?????? The worst sound in the entire city! I would love to see Squeeze but I hate that club like fire. Now I'm really up the junction.

guys, go to Baltimore show instead..cheaper too...$35

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:06 PM

Roseland sound isn't that bad. Especially compared to T5.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:09 PM

^Ha ha ha..serious? Roseland's sound is worse than T5...both suck though so whatever

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:10 PM

Roseland is so much worse than T5.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:14 PM

Roseland is fine if you aren't dumb enough to stand under the overhang.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:14 PM

^same with T5

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:16 PM

"Roseland is fine if you aren't dumb enough to stand under the overhang."

Exactly. The sound under the overhang is terrible, but unfortunately that is where to bar is located! :) If you are in front of the soundbard at Roseland, the sound might still not be the best, but it is still far better than T5.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 12:20 PM

Actually the overhang isn't bad, if you get there early enough to grab a seat. If you stand on the seats, you're fine.

Roseland is simply gross. I always need a shower immediately upon leaving that dump. Sometimes I even throw my sneakers out afterwards because the floor is a sticky, stinky mess. I'm sure things have begun to grow out of the residue from that beer I spilled there a decade ago.

This show is way too expensive for me. I can't believe how expensive this is.

I like Squeeze, but $70? Meh.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 2:16 PM

Out of my way, 1:00. I saw Lin first!

Posted by Kim Kardashian | February 22, 2012 2:18 PM

12:58 and 2:16: I agree. And I've always wanted to see these guys!

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 5:15 PM

I don't know if this is still the case, but Roseland doesn't have their own sound system. It is brought in by the production crew for that show. Therefore, you can't really say "Roseland sounds terrible" because it all depends on the rig that is brought in for the specific show.
