I can't determine if this stones fest was a good scene or a bunch of wankers playing to wankers. I LOVE the stones, so I'm kinda upset I missed it, but none of these musicians are that dangerous. I mean, Keith Richards pinky is cooler then the collective showcased here. Knameen?

When your spine is cracking and your hands, they shake,
Heart is bursting and you butt's gonna break.
Your woman's cussing, you can hear her scream,
You feel like murder in the first degree.

Ain't nobody slowing down no way,
Ev'rybody's stepping on their accelerator,
Don't matter where you are,
Ev'rybody's gonna need a ventilator.

Sorry Evan Rachel Wood, but you fucked Marilyn Manson and for that I can never take you seriously as a human being.

Jesus, can't figure out which is worse: Nicole Atkins, or the entire rest of this lineup.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

Wonder how much 1%er money this raised for the 1%ers.

I'd rather see a polka band.

Any comments from anybody who actually attended this?

These fests (Petty, Dylan) started out as a fun kinda "cool" downtown musicians celebrating the artists thing. Now its primarily comprised of C/D level comedian/actors either making a joke of it or trying too earnestly to "rock." Depressing.
These photos are awful too. Was anyone there? Were there more than 3 people on stage at any one time? Its hard to tell since every shot is a macro close up. At least now we're all intimately familiar with what the inside of Jody Porters nostrils look like, and baby it ain't pretty...

^ from this twat's blog post ...
"My first NYC concert was AMAZING! The musicians. The people. The venue. Every note played was perfect, even when people forgot lyrics. It was one of those shows that felt like family, there was no division between the audience and the performers… Just the love for the music. People doing music for the sake of music. That was all. Even the people in the audience were legends. AND everyone was drinking and smoking pot and passing it around and going crazy in the best of ways. And the musicians and singers were so freaking awesome!"

HOLY FUCK, ARE YOU THAT BIG A RETARD?!?!? GO BACK TO L.FUCK.A. NOW HOLDEN!

Posted by Anonymous | February 28, 2012 9:33 PM

I love it how the people that actually went loved it and the rest of you are just bashing what you don't even know. Nice.
