Sutek Hexen

Handmade Birds will release the new LP from Sutekh Hexen, a shadowy black metal collective that delves into dark ambient, drone, harsh noise, and any other aural method hellbent on nihilism and destruction. Larvae is the follow-up to their harrowing Luciform from last year and is currently available on CD via the label. Larvae, which features the mastering work of James Plotkin, is anchored by the contributions of Scott Miller (ex-Cattle Decapitation), visual artist Kevin Gan Yuen, Dwid Hellion (Integrity), Lee Camfield, and Thomas Rodahl Dedekamm. Yuen and Dwid are co-conspirators on the frightening art as well.

In celebration (or is it damnation?) of Larvae, you can stream a new track at Pitchfork and another from the LP ("Lead Us In Warfare") below, alongside some prior works of auditory terror and the artwork...

"a shadowy black metal collective that delves into dark ambient, drone, harsh noise, and any other aural method hellbent on nihilism and destruction"

I love your work Anon 5:02

^I mean, BBG can't be serious. This is how he writes about music? It's ridiculous. It's markedly juvenile even for sausage rock journalism.

5:02 is right. "hellbent on nihilism", is that even conceptually possible? You couldn't pass a freshman journalism class with writing like this.

5:42 makes a good point.

^true. This writing would be cloying purple even for fiction. As journalism it's nonsense.

I'm sorry, I gotta ask - why do you sausages feel so compelled to look like a bunch of faggots when you pose for group photos? Is the camera lens like the deep truthful mirror, where your latent homosexuality is subtly exposed (much to your ignorance)? Take a good look at the pics in the last few BBG posts - I mean really guys, you can't see it?

Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2012 1:25 AM

why do you hipster faggots even bother commenting on metal posts? you're embarrassing yourselves even more than usual.

Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2012 4:35 AM

^ that's the best you could do? "I know you are but what am I?" Yeah, you're probably a fat fuck sausage like that guy in the Pee Wee movie too. So typical.

Almost every posed band picture looks ridiculous, regardless of genre. No need for your homophobic shit here.

I ain't afraid of gay people. Use the word correctly, faggot.

Get a better comeback than pretending to translate the word literally, fucking moron.
