no it's lin-not

I'm sure idiot transplants will still spend big $ on Knicks tickets, so on that level Linsanity is still on. However, the bloom is kind of off the rose when the team can't get past two teams that they really should have beat. Friday will be a test, with Duane and Lebron et. al.

Where were all of you fools back when The Knicks sucked? Keep jumping on bandwagons you fairweather fans.
Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2012 6:13 PM
6:03 The Heat are the best team in the league. What kind of test is that? The Hawks tonight will be a better test. They will be in the mix for the 3-8 seed w/ us.

6:16 - I was making reference to it being a test regarding the public "irrational exuberance". The actual test was whether they could get past the Nets and Hornets. That said, Lin did achieve something in his first 3 games that even MJ, Lebron, and Bird did not. And after the strike, it was just what the NBA needed. I am just pointing out the "Linsanity / Spin_Doctors" guy is just being annoying now.

Wow, the real Linsanity guy (this guy) had nothing to do with this thread. Going to have to create a new twitter @therealLinsanitytroll.

Jeremy Lin is a worthless, fucking christian. You'd think an educated asian would know better than to believe in a dead jew and talking snakes.

Jesus is alright with me. If you go hating on Jesus, I feel sorry for you.

i will never understand religious zealots
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2012 8:30 AM
I will never understand how some fools could see someone stating that "Jesus is alright with me" as unacceptable. The fool never sees how this says far, far more about them than about the person aligning with Jesus. It's really bigotry, at it's core.
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2012 8:42 AM
just to be clear, i will never understand religious zealots, no matter what they are aligning with. i am not the guy who made the ignorant remark about lin being a christian, btw. i am simply an agnostic trying to steer clear of the crazy people.
8:42, you sound intelligent, but are likely crazy too, or brainwashed at the least. carry on, though. i like the doobie bros, too.

any bjork reviews? how was the setup at roseland?
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2012 9:41 AM
setup was awesome at roseland. every roseland show should be like that. i went to one of the ny science hall shows as well. the biggest problem with the roseland was that people would NOT shut up. like really. wow.

^ I hear ya. that seems to be a problem everywhere these days. people go through all the hassle to get tickets and schlep out to a venue, and they're all Chatty Cathy for 2 hours not even paying attention. I have a theory - see if it fits ... for these people, the event is really about them and not a performance by an artist. they are more concerned with being seen as cool by their companions than they are in enjoying someone's preparation and art. too much disposable income, too much free time, too little correction when growing up.

What happened to Kubler last night? He seemed to be ushered offstage after attempting to sing backing vocals early in the proceedings, and never returned.

@9:56 - was there an opener? when were doors? when did she go on? how long did she play? excited for saturday's show, but trying to get my evening coordinated and i'm imagining the format may be slightly different than the shows in queend...?
thanks!

when there are blatant talkers near me at shows, i confront them dead on and ask things like, "wouldn't you be more comfortable taking this conversation to the bar/lounge/bathroom/anywhere else?", "you do realize that the headline act is currently performing, right?", "it would have been way less expensive for you to pay for this conversation at a coffee shop or a bar," and "if you guys want to talk so much, why the fuck did you come here?!"
most people are stunned by my bluntness and it has been surprisingly effective.

^ Wait, I thought when you purchase tickets to see an artist perform the main objective was not to appreciate their music, but to talk over it.
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2012 10:41 AM
I heard Jody Porter stole the show...

@10:12 I'm not the original poster but I was at last night's Bjork show. Not sure what time doors opened, but I arrived at 8 and it was already packed. She went on right at 8:30. There was no opener. She played until about 10:20.
