Bon Iver has been around for about 5 years... skrillex didnt enter his genre until a year or so ago.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 4:49 AM
bon iver sucks. face it. sorry - sing it quietly to yourself in the shower
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 4:53 AM
Bon Iver is like my most favorite artist ever. I cried when he won. All those haters can hate, but he's like so awesome. I...I'm still shaking the next morning.
My sisters and I listen to him every morning when we get ready for class. It's so beautiful that we all cry together in our bras.
We are like so indie.

How is it that this internet generation is so dumb? Can't they just do a little research for themselves?
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 7:32 AM
I don't like Bon Iver.
I do like turtles.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 7:42 AM
"sing it quietly to yourself in the shower"
that is very funny.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 8:06 AM
You'd think the Blacks would know Bon Iver because of his collaboration with Kanye. Shows you how much they're paying attention.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 8:38 AM
@8:38 "the blacks"
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 8:47 AM
^^^ proof to PR guys: pay_ing off B___V for your press = no real traction with the kids, only the old fucks who want to be cool.

@7:42 Yerdle the Turtle?
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 9:55 AM
9:27,
He seems to be doing just fine with "the kids" seeing as he plays 4-5k capacity venues regularly.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 9:58 AM
8:38 is clearly Larry David
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 10:02 AM
They gave the award to the wrong Justin. It was supposed to go to Bieber, not Vernon!

She was a fantastic American Olympic Speed Skater.
Posted by The MIghty KC | February 13, 2012 11:00 AM
On the one hand, the brain dead masses need to be aware of artists like Bon Iver. On the other hand, it is good that the masses recognize that the Indie looks has become as stupid and brain dead as their own looks.
The point is, everyone is an idiot.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 11:02 AM
Yeah 8:38...an entire ethnicity is supposed to know about an artist because they collaborated with an african american who arguably has as many white fans as black ones. You're a total tool.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 11:07 AM
Who are the Modern Weepers?
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 11:22 AM
10:02 ftw
"You done fucked up Larry!"
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 11:37 AM
Bon Iver was the musical guest on SNL last weekend. They've performed on Letterman and Jimmy Fallon. They've done world tours. Music has been on the Twilight soundtracks.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 12:08 PM
commercial indie rock + mainstream music indutry = failure
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 12:56 PM
Hummus + No pita triangle = also a failure.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 1:20 PM
9:27, no amount of PR is going to cross Bon Iver over to the mainstream "kids". Most casual listeners who are not big music fans probably don't get Bon Iver. And that's fine by me.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 1:59 PM
1:20 - I like hummus on crackers. Works fine for me.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 2:03 PM
If there's any justice in the world, the "musical" group Bon Iver will officially change its name to Bonnie Bear.
Please, please let this happen.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 2:13 PM
I'm more offended by the fact that Chris Brown still gets respect from the music industry and from the masses, than that people don't know who Bon Iver is.
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 3:10 PM
2:13, if Justin Vernon has a good sense of humor, he will. I know I would if I were him...
Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2012 3:31 PM
