Bouncing Souls at Highline Ballroom in 2011 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Bouncing Souls

Bouncing Souls are set to release their ninth full length album, Comet, on June 12 via their own Chunksaah Records and Rise Records. It was produced by the Descendents' Bill Stevenson who is also working on the new Hot Water Music album. Check out album track "Static" along with the artwork and tracklist below.

They'll celebrate the release of the album with two record release shows. Those include a Philly show on 6/8 and a NYC show on June 9 at Webster Hall. Both shows are with Cheap Girls and Static Radio. Tickets for the Webster Hall show go on sale Friday (3/23) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (3/21) at noon.

The Bouncing Souls, like Hot Water Music, are also playing Bamboozle, which goes down in Asbury Park from May 18-20. They also play The Chance in Poughkeepsie (5/16) a few days earlier.

These dudes rock! They were on a cd sampler I got at Hot Topic.

Bouncing Souls. Apt bandname. Try "Bouncing Chameleons" LOL.

They started out as a Red Hot Chili Peppers wannabe when RHCP were big then they became a ska punk band when the whole ska punk thing was big then they dropped the ska from punk then...

Fuck this band who changes styles according to what is big at the time. And fuck the people who come to see them but barely support other NJ bands.

damn, someone is pissed off!

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 3:54 AM

Yea I'm guessing hipsters from Ohio wouldn't know Bouncing Souls. I wonder what you kids listened to when you were younger. Nickelback?

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 8:06 AM

Dumbest band name EVAH!

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:22 AM

Do you actually get where the band name comes from?

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:40 AM

Give 'em hell 12:54! Anything else to add to your shitlist?

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:42 AM

8:06: well put.

Great band, great dudes.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:45 AM

12:54 is probably 18 and plays Rancid cover songs in his mommy and daddy's basement in Short Hills.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:46 AM

9:40: Yes, but the "Souls" change made it sound even stupider than what the original slogan was, which was pretty goofy in the first place.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:51 AM

BV has plenty of Bouncing Trolls.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 10:45 AM

3:54 - Nah, not pissed off, tired of seeing this stupid band's name pop up now and then.

12:54 - You're way off the mark LOL. Thanks for describing yourself though.

10:45 - If that's meant for me, why feed me?

Bouncing Souls suck dick because them popping up for their annual local/area appearance just shows how nonsupportive they and people are of new/er, current NJ bands. People show up in droves for these hacks but barely show for anyone else from NJ. BS never has a band who isn't down with them open.

When I was a kid we had quality bands like the Bosstones and Murphy's Law

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 11:12 AM

And Sick of It All, duh.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 11:22 AM

Hey 11:10 go back to Mom's basement in Jersey and just shut the fuck up with your whining...Sorry they didn't ask your band to ever open for them because you probably don't have a fucking band or talent at anything...The guys in the Souls are all rock solid. They'd do anything for their fans, and not to mention your argument is beyond fucking stupid because they have Jersey bands open for them all the time. Espescially at their hometown shows.

To summarize shut the fuck up...and go eat a dick.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 1:15 PM

Agreed, that it was pretty goofy in the first place.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 1:50 PM

Great band. Great guys. Always an awesome time.
