Grimes @ Glasslands (pic by thedeskofjob)
Grimes

One night after struggling through two shows at Mercury Lounge, Grimes toughed out her throat problems and played a super-sold-out show at Glasslands in Brooklyn. How was it? Check out some videos below.

A couple of weeks earlier Grimes was in Austin for SXSW (where she did not play a BV party and) where Nardwuar (who did play a BV party) caught up with the fellow Canadian for an interview. Watch below...

Could there be any artist that we'll be more anxious to forget in 2 years than Pictureplane? PS - Get your teeth fixed!

Usually the Nardwuar interviews are worth watching.
This seemed like he was interviewing a raving kid.

Oh my God, some of you are the worst. If your friends knew that you wrote some of these things they would not be your friends. It's that horrible.

The fact that there is someone in the NYC area that throws around the N-word like that is repulsive. Let's all hope some black hacker does him in.

some of you need to go back to troll school, 'cause what they taught you previously you done forgot

pick it up a bit, bitches. the whole world is watching.

Posted by | March 28, 2012 11:08 AM

SUPER sold out show.

And since when is Glasslands in NYC. Its in Brooklyn. NYC = Manhattan pomp. Glasslands could more realistically be described as being in the East river.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:11 AM

@ Carly I do all my trolling from a computer in the public library. Good luck.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:13 AM

Also, I don't have any friends. Hee hee hee.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:14 AM

@1111 NYC actually includes all the five boroughs. that's why manhattan is called 'manhattan' and not new york city. that's also why when you enter the bronx, there is a sign that says 'welcome to new york city.'

still though, people who say they live in NYC and live anywhere outside of manhattan suck a nut

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:20 AM

@1114 i thought these were your friends?

I think she needs another card table with a bunch of shit on it.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:26 AM

Did someone actually just say that NYC is Manhattan? Get the fuck out of my city.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:31 AM

Selling out Glasslands is some achievement. Amazing! Madison Square Garden has to be next.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:42 AM

I want to fuck Carly with my big black dick

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 11:47 AM

If i had a nickel for every fucking Grimes post in the past week, I'd have a shitload of nickels.

Stop.it.

A mediocre girl wearing the same shirt for two gigs is what's newsworthy these days? Fuck music journalism.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 12:52 PM

Check out that fat bro lurking from above in that main photo. Ain't no cheeseburgers up there dude!

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 1:25 PM

I saw Grimes at Shea Stadium Last Year, I'm Cool. I enjoyed the NardWuar Interview.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 1:54 PM

^ Actually that would make you super uncool.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 2:11 PM

nardwuar interview was okay. seeing grimes at any point before this merc lounge/glasslands run is irrelevant since she hadn't released 'visions' yet, which is what all the fuss is about.

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 2:35 PM

who the fuck is grimes?

Posted by Anonymous | March 28, 2012 10:15 PM

^^^ some market hotel wanna be skank who plays bad music and should cut her eyebrows.
