Janes Addiction

Back before the Black Keys played MSG, before SXSW, and before They Might Be Giants hit Terminal 5, Dana caught Jane's Addiction at the Wellmont Theater in NJ (which was right after Perry Farrell and crew played a show in Long Island). Here are some pictures from the 3/6 show. More of them below...

Having a Hummus Addiction is a rather serious ailment among many Williamsburg/Bushwick residents these days. The other day I was walking past Oasis on Bedford Ave and some fellow with a mustache was pleading for some spare change... It's getting pretty bad around there. Perhaps someone should start a support group. Perhaps PTDA? (Pita Triangle Dippers Anonymous)

Hey Chicago brother... Here in NYC there is a huge conglomeration known as "The Hummus Underground" and we often times use Brooklyn Vegan as a communication portal to exchange recipes and exciting news stories about all things Hummus related. Which includes:
-Pita triangles
-Mamouns
-Baby Carrots
-Robust Platters
-Phyto-Nutrients
-etc etc etc

Do they have hummus in Chicago?

Posted by Anonymous | March 19, 2012 7:21 PM

Of course they do, but its prepared in a deep dish.

Janes Addiction. The band with the man that brought you Lollapalooza which was one of the deathknells of underground music as it along with the first Headbanger's Ball brought in most pieces of mainstream society garbage into underground music 1991 on.

Look, we all come from mainstream society - the proverbial "No one was born with etc." - but it's a cold, hard fact that some people are not meant to get into underground music and some bands are responsible for bringing these people into it thus need to get fucking lost. Jane's Addicton fans and Jane's Addiction are among these people and bands.

Perry Farrell is still a pretentious ass and I love those uninspired $30 one color tees. 'Love the "No Drinks On The Merch Table" sign, too, and that's exactly what I'm talking about. The people they bring are such lowlives the band actually has to say don't put your beer or whatever on their merch table. Think for a minute how thoughtless and rude it would be to put your beer on a merch table as someone could inadvertently knock the beer over, spill the beer on the merch, and could possibly be accused of putting the beer there if no one saw who put it down on the table. Then think that that is par for the course for the people who attend these shows. They're fucking scum with no concept of their surroundings.

So cool.

Where can I find the elite hummus that D is mainlining?

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 9:39 AM

It's a special blend of chick pea, black tar heroin, and foreskin. Probably out of your budget.

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 10:13 AM

When do the roadies have to have Perry's corpse back to the graveyard before the cops get called in?

Posted by Anonymous | March 20, 2012 10:48 AM

Don't listen to D. He thinks that Sham 69 and Murphy's Law are still relevant. That should tell you what kinda retard we're dealing with here.

Are those two girls twins, or just Asian?
