WHAT IS NRMAL?
Nrmal - no relation to the marijuana legalization org NORML - is a San Pedro Garza García, Mexico-based independent music promoter, as well as a popular blog about music and art. Nrmal has many years of experience organizing international art and music events in Northern Mexico. Nrmal produces and handles all logistics for Festival Nrmal, which is in its 3rd successful year. In past years, headliners have included The Oh Sees, White Rainbow, Yacht, Bare Wires, Deadalus, Night Jewel, Silje Nes, Julianna Barwick, and many others. This year, Nrmal and Todd P are collaborating to present the "MtyMx stage" at the Festival Nrmal 2012 in San Pedro Garza García, a multi-stage festival of art and emerging bands from Latin America, United States and other countries. While this festival is produced by and for Mexican folks, you are certainly welcome to attend the festival as part of a vacation to Mexico.

PUSSIES!

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2012 4:10 PM

Doesnt Todd P know that Pesos are worthless?

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2012 4:12 PM

I have been to a ton of great Todd P shows, and I love what he's done for the Brooklyn music scene, but the debacle of the last event he tried in Mexico seems like a justification for this very over-booked man to stop piggybacking events on top of/extremely near SXSW. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm certainly not betting on this going off without a hitch.

Todd P is too cool for school

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2012 4:35 PM

4:21, you have no idea what you're talking about. Festival NRMAL is a Mexican-run Festival that's been around for years. NRMAL.net is like the Pitchfork of Mexico. This year they brought in Todd as a collaborator, so its technically not even his Festival.

Here's hoping Todd P tries the water...

USA people are ignorant assholes. The world laughs at you. You knew nothing of other countries but you are self righteous of your own superiority. Meanwhile your country is violent and failing, and your products and your food are crap. This festival is not for you, it is for Mexico, and you have no knowledge of the lifestyle or political or security situation in Mexico. Maybe just shut the fuck up since you are foolish?

Posted by Anonymous | March 10, 2012 8:46 PM

yeah, the festival was awesome. no one got hurt, you american cunt.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2012 3:20 PM

Unfortunately Girls has become another boring anonymous INDIE rock group with stadium sized aspirations who don't have the ideas to back it up. Sorry but the 3 backup singers has pushed them into the realm of "Use Your illusion" era Guns and Roses and I'm not talking about "Don't Cry" or "November Rain" this is "Knockin on Heavens Door" territory. Christopher Owens should go solo and ditch J.R. White and his unimaginative and lackluster production. Remember when Girls were fun?
