The Lemonheads wrap up their Its' a Shame About Ray Tour at Maxwell's tonight, once again performing the album in full. How was last night?

Michael Dorf's benefit concert initative continues with tonight's cover show of the Rolling Stone's anthology Hot Rocks 1964-1971 at Carnegie Hall. Participating artists include TV on the Radio, The Mountain Goats, Glen Hansard, Rosanne Cash, and Carolina Chocolate Drops. More info at Carnegiestones.com. The Mountain Goats are slated to play Estatic Music Festival with Anonymous 4 later this month (3/24).

Glen Hansard then heads to Austin where you can catch him at a BrooklynVegan day party at Hotel Vegan on Thursday.

It's a pretty neat thing, 8:17 ~~ you click your mouse thingy on that blue text and another page appears that answers all the questions you might have!

We're moving fast here today, so you gotta keep up.

Suprisingly the Black Keys pulled it off nicely last night but Arctic Monkeys were in better form. They know how to put on a great show. Sounded great from west GA. I can definitely see AC headlining Radio City or MSG next time around:)

Glad you had fun 8:49. My hope is that you having spent the $80 to see these guys will set you back just enough to give you pause when Radiohead announces NYC dates, thereby giving me the opportunity to grab seats for that. So, thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2012 9:03 AM

I AGREE! I LOVE WHEN YOU POST THEM EARLY IN THE DAY!
NOW I KNOW ABOUT RICK ROSS!

Me too 9:03 (2).

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2012 9:38 AM

Is it TV on the Radio performing at the Stones tribute or members of TV on the Radio?

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2012 9:41 AM

Black Keys were great. I can't hear anything out of my right ear.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2012 9:50 AM

Keys killed it, as expected. Kinda weird to see them with a big arena light/video setup. Arctic Monkeys were surprisingly tight but there's no way they're headlining MSG unless it's a really strong double bill.

I am having a baby in 9 months, thanks to The Black Keys concert last night.

I just noticed that each silhouette on the Hot Rocks cover is a different band member. Funny I never saw that before.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2012 11:37 AM

^Are you serious, troll baiting or just 8 years old 11:37?

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2012 12:01 PM

No I'm serious. I never noticed it before. Guess that I was always more interested in the music, this being a greatest hits collection and all. But, thanks for making me feel like a jerk 12:01, you've certainly added to our public discourse today. Hope you feel real proud of yourself.
