Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 1:26 AM

who?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 1:53 AM

I don't know anyone who got their tickets through Ticketmaster for this show last night. Anyone I know who had tickets either got them through music industry connections, or paid an arm/leg. Did Questlove really expect to see blue collar people?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 6:42 AM

Questlove + the respective families of Jake Clemons and the backup singers = the only black people in the audience

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 7:09 AM

Got mine from tmaster. Total dumb fucking luck, though.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 7:47 AM

He's so stale. Dull. Why pay to see this?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:08 AM

oh nice he played dancing in the dark

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:13 AM

Wrong. I'm not a fan but a friend invited me & stale & dull don't work. Did you see the show? I doubt it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:14 AM

Show was so boring. Time for Bruce to hang it up!

Posted by Amy | April 10, 2012 8:46 AM

8:46 obviously not there

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:48 AM

What a stupid thing for Questlove to say. I bet he didn't even pay for his ticket.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:52 AM

oh nice he played born to run

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 9:10 AM

The one and only song I wanted to see he didn't play - Born In The USA

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 9:31 AM

Yeah, I'm sure you were really there, Amy.

Posted by M | April 10, 2012 9:31 AM

Questlove is the 1%er. At least Bruce puts his money where his mouth is and says something. What does quest do for anybody but himself? Like Kanye, he just doesnt get it at all. you cant be "with the people against the Man" when every $$$ youve ever earned is straight from The Man's hand. do something for the people, instead of picking your hair, sellout.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 9:32 AM

Incredible show. "The Promised Land" was fucking stellar.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 9:47 AM

Commence Boomer Orgasm

Posted by Darnell | April 10, 2012 9:53 AM

How did Questlove get his tix? "Spirit in the Night" owns

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 9:53 AM

kind pissed he didn't play 57 channels and nothin' on

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 11:01 AM

The whole concept of 1% is completely misunderstood by most people... The term is used pretty recklessly these days... Surprising because I thought quest had half a brain...

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 11:45 AM

Tickets were $120 each after all the fees to get in the building.

Food and Beer were twice as much inside as anywhere out on the street.

It may not have been the 1 percent, but it sure wasn't the 99 percent either.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 11:49 AM

11:49, do you realize how little sense youre making? The whole concept of the 1% vs. 99% is boring at this point, but do you really think this is a 1%er event? You dont think middle class people can afford this show? Of course they can. This isnt Jay-Z at Carnegie Hall, you dullards. If Quest wants to talk shit, why doesnt he talk it about his homeboy Jay for doing that Carnegie show? Crickets.....

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 12:02 PM

Are hipsters just poor or something? Or cheap? I'm a substitute teacher I saved up some money and witnessed an amazing Bruce show worth every last cent! Oh and yes I enjoyed several 10$ beers at the garden...

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 12:10 PM

I've been to Izod 4/4, MSG 4/6 & 4/9, and I'm going to Newark 5/2. I am NOWHERE near being the 1%. Not even close.

Even if you aren't a fan you cannot go to one of these shows and not say it was totally awesome. The man is killing it, and I mean killing it, EVERY night.

I got GA's to Izod and Prudential the day they went on sale via Ticketmaster.

I got GA's for MSG 4/6 the night before over the phone via Ticketmaster and picked them up at will call.

I got section 115 the day of for 4/9 over the phone via Ticketmaster and picked them up at will call.

There is no argument to any of this. These are facts.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 12:16 PM

Turns out if you go ahead and read the rest of ?love's tweets from last night there is a lot of love for Bruce there... Still kind of a dumb comment though...

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 12:24 PM

12:16 the only fact is you are a fucking loser idiot

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 12:28 PM

12:16 must be an insufferable person. Why are Bruce fans so brutal? They literally can't shut up about the guy. I don't get it.

Philadelphia Springsteen Memories Roadshow, April 21 http://www.thelightinDarkness.com/news

Posted by rob | April 10, 2012 12:44 PM

I choose to believe Bruce ate a piece of Clarence's heart to provide the strength necessary to put on these fantastic shows.

Posted by Short Round | April 10, 2012 12:48 PM

It's funny how these comments are so polarized... I have no alliegence here but Bruce does put on an amazing live show... Ironically for all the would be haters, if you were a hipster in 1973 you would have creamed over Springsteen... People tout there "musical tastes" on this website but typically it's just a promotion of whatever happens to be in fashion at that moment... Bruce transcends that type of thinking... I'm not even going to entertain the idea of judging an artist by there audience... Completely irrelevant and frankly ignorant

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 1:07 PM

*their*

Posted by psst | April 10, 2012 1:31 PM

I met Bruce at Milady's, true story

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 2:41 PM

True 1:07, however it is not 1973 anymore. So you're argument goes out the window, even though it is a good one.

I agree that any of these hipsters now hating Bruce would have loved him had they been there in 1973, but you could use that argument for pretty much anything cool from past generations at their start.

Hell, today's hipsters would have creamed all over the Beach Boys in 63, Dylan in 62, Elvis in 56, etc etc etc

40, 50 years changes things

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 4:45 PM

12:28, you make a lot of sense little boy.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 6:09 PM

12:40, brutal? How so? 12:16 was just disproving all of the nonsense previously posted here.

The only thing you said that makes sense was your last sentence.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 6:14 PM

12:16, either you were extremely lucky, or you spent a whole lot of time on the TM site/ calling TM that you were able to score tickets (especially catching a night-before GA release for the Garden).. or you're full of shit. If what you are saying is true, you were among the 1% of people who actually got your tickets directly from TM for MSG, without using a bot.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 7:20 PM

12:02, sure middle class folks can afford $100 tickets. But how many people actually were able to GET tickets for face value for this?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 7:22 PM

^ I got mine for 4x face :(

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 7:44 PM

I had to let a chick sit on my face 4X to get my tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:07 PM

Where is 7:20 getting these "facts" from?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:22 PM

I know "4X face" is a BV meme, but that's pretty accurate for the MSG show last night.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2012 8:25 PM

8:22 - 7:20 here. I'm a ticket broker.
