Not bad at all, i must say. At the last three summers programing had became a shadow of what it used to be, so i'm quite happy with this year's in comparison. You ohio kids don't even know what a treat summerstage used to be... now that i got used to the idea that there will no more be "gotan project" and "manu chao" nights, i'm happy with what i get this year.

YTINASIL is a movement that originated in early February of this year (2012). It will be televised and should reach its culmination in early June (as of current scheduling).

I would guess they're ranked something like this:

1) YTINASNIL
v
v
v
44) Dunkaccino
52) Hummus
76) Frohawk

Bobby Womack and Kurt Vile will be dope. The rest is mostly for the salsa dancing and kombucha set. If you're wondering when you can avoid the crowds at Whole Foods, you've got your schedule right here.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 3:56 PM

I'll be dancing away with my baby and a bottle of Beaujolais at that Bobby Womack show. Look for me with my hair faded right and track suit set to purple.

Been hoping Orchestre Poly-Rythmo would come back. This will be only their second NYC show in their almost 50-year career, and they were flat-out amazing when they played Lincoln Center in 2010. If you love music, you owe it to yourself to be there.
