Com Truise at Public Assembly earlier this month (more by Ryan Muir)
Com Truise

Princeton, NJ's Com Truise and Tobacco teamed up for some dates, including one in Philly last night (4/18) and another in Brooklyn tonight, Thursday (4/19) at Music Hall of Williamsburg with Beacon, Shine 2009, and Selebrities. Tickets are still available.

The shows with Com Truise are the only dates listed on Tobacco's calendar other than a show at Poughkeepsie's Vassar College on 4/20. Com Truise, on the other hand, will continue touring the US this month, head to the UK in May, and was just announced on the lineup of this summer's North Coast Music Festival in Chicago along with the Rapture, Dan Deacon, Big Boi and many more.

All tour dates, a video for Com Truise's "Hyper Lips" and a few remixes are below...

Thanks 10:14. It's not terrible music, but to watch it be performed looks about as exciting as watching paint dry.

^ and everyone else trashing live electronic music: Yes, live electronic music acts usually incorporate a laptop running Abelton, knob turning on a mixing board, a turntable, and sometimes a Roland synthesizer. They may seem uneventful, but why is it that so many people are dancing? And why is it no one is wylin out at most rock shows (metal not included but that's not dancing anyway)?

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:19 PM

^ so right - the last Lustmord show there was so much dancing that the hard drive crashed. Shit was tight, yo.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:25 PM

^ 1:19 here. Lustmord recently said in an interview that if he was asked whether he wanted to see an ambient electronic act, he'd rather read a book. I'd rather indulge myself to a bowl crushed chickpeas with a hint of lemon, and a side of semen.
