This is actually a fun thing. I went last year expecting nothing and was pleasantly surprised by some of the deep cuts they played. And considering that the real Dylan nowadays sounds nothing like the man he was, this isn't a bad alternative.

I've been going to these shows since they were at Mercury, and they are always a good time.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:43 PM

shit yeah, these shows at the mercury were legendary. bring your mom.

Nice to see Adam Green establishing himself a residency at "any significant musician" Fests that come around.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:00 PM

@1pm same could be said about everyone else on that bill. pretty sure this lineup is a mirror image of that STONESFEST show a few months ago. justin long and sammy from the mooney suzuki must simply love dated rock music.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:31 PM

So it's a lineup of washed up east village never-has-beens and SNL ex-pats but what does any of this have to do with Dylan?

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:32 PM

^true, that lineup really is a long list of also rans. Anything for an audience I guess. Most of those performers should look into getting a job.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:34 PM

agreed

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:38 PM

Oh yeah!?!?! So what have you ever done with your zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:58 PM

Well it's probably nice to play one of these gigs and collect an easy paycheck.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:21 PM

D list rockers cover Dylan. How exciting.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:22 PM

justin long should be flattered being called D list rocker

I hear Aziz is gonna whip his dick out during Mr. Tambourine Man. Jody or whatever the guitar tech from Fountains Of Wayne is named is gonna hold it.

this show should be at Sullivan Hall. They have the best tribute shows there.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 3:21 PM

Austin Scaggs is a prick. But the funny thing about him is that he has 5 nipples. What makes it even weirder is that they're all powered by klipsch.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 3:22 PM

They expect people to pay $ to see this?

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 3:30 PM

a. at least Das Racist is not going to play and b. I hope they make a hologram Dylan appear.

Posted by Really? | April 19, 2012 3:56 PM

I only see one Stroke on that list.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 4:03 PM

yeah that Fountains Of Wayne guitar tech sucks. I can't believe they even let him on stage even for a stupid tribute show with 12 people onstage.

Posted by Hologramz | April 19, 2012 4:12 PM

kristen whig counts as half a stroke

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 4:14 PM

WHAT DOES GABE SPIERER THINK OF ALL THIS?

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 4:36 PM

I shit my pants at Stones Fest it was so bad.

Posted by Gabe Spierer | April 19, 2012 6:14 PM

The sheer audacity of these performers that aren't fit to carry the guitar picks of any of the legends that they are paying tribute to.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 6:51 PM

nice try, mr. zimmerman @6:51
