Jack White

Jack White previously announced a tour that brings him and his band to NYC for two sold out shows at Roseland Ballroom in May. Today it has been announced that Jack will play a show at the much smaller Webster Hall on April 27 (three days after the release of BLUNDERBUSS). The show will be open to the public and will stream online as part of the American Express "UNSTAGED" series that hands over live concert directorial duties to famous filmmakers (like Arcade Fire at MSG was). Jack White's webcast will be directed by Gary Oldman and will stream live at http://www.youtube.com/JackWhiteVEVO (at 9pm EST).

"Tickets for the April 27 performance at Webster Hall in New York City are available for American Express Cardmembers during an exclusive presale window beginning Tuesday, April 17th at 12:00 PM ET at www.Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available to the general public beginning Tuesday, April 17th at 3:00 PM ET at www.Ticketmaster.com."

The NYC dated is one of a few new ones announced for Jack who was also recently announced as a Lollapalooza headliner. Other new dates are in London, Paris, and LA. All shows are listed below...

Can't wait for this album and to see him in LA

Looks like one of those overly made-up (w/ plastic surgery and the like) 40s scream queens with a bad wig on.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 10:48 AM

People should be excited for this kind of show. Not the Weeknd garbage.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:02 AM

50 bucks is still a little too much.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:04 AM

50 bucks is not too much for jack white

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:13 AM

50 bucks is not too much for a ticket that will be worth 250 bucks.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:18 AM

I'm excited for both this and the Weeknd. I'm CRAZY

You would have been lucky to get face before this announcement. Now forget about it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:34 AM

@1134 right troll. tix are on stubhub for $135 lowest price, face value was $75 after fees. fuck off.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:36 AM

11:36 >> now THAT is how you take care of a troll! Ha!

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:48 AM

11:48 defending a scalper
you are human refuse

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:53 AM

Yeah I was the person who made the comment at 11:34. I will address both of those extremely dumb people. What tickets are listed for on stubhub is what people are asking. Not what anyone is paying. Big difference. Especially since the show has been on sale for a while now.

To the other fucknut, yeah he really told me off. You and your dumb friend should start a ticket scalping business. With the knowledge you both have I could see it really taking off

I am surprised there wasn't a reference to the New York Times Magazine profile that ran the week before last.

Did anyone read it? And did anyone think he came off looking like a total mental case?

The author had to keep pointing out that much of what Jack asserts cannot be verified as truthful - just like his mentor Bob Dylan and probably right down to the fanciful account of him and Bob doing some manual house work. By the way, this guy name drops Bob Dylan as a friend more times than Bob Dylan named dropped Woody Guthrie. Just saying.

But he really comes off as a lunatic. He makes all the women who work for him have red hair???!!!

Also the shit he was saying about Meg...

...The bloom is long off the rose with this guy. Brilliant guitarist, has good taste in music, was the brains behind the best band of the last decade...but another typical "artist" with an illness who becomes a rock diva and believes his own lies...typical.

Hey Edward, you lost your Scissorhands!

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 12:26 PM

Jack White isn't dangerous. Bob Dylan was.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 1:30 PM

I don't see how 11:48 was defending a scalper. But thank you for stopping in with your usual hate shit.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 1:40 PM

@1202 lowest price on stubhub is more or less what the tickets are selling for. that's how stubhub works. buyers/sellers use it as a price point.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 1:42 PM

Lunatic? White's carefully controlled eccentricities have always been part of his act. Much of it is just a goof on idiotic celebrity "journalism". So he's really a seventh son? The NYTimes thinks so. What is important is that his music is usually good and so stands on its own merits.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 3:53 PM

sorry scalpers, will call only. your plus one is your only profit

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 4:05 PM

Jack is a Hack.
His music is ok but he is sort of like a lady gaga with his playing dress up.
I like my blues men to have duct tape on their boots, not gay stylists.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 4:07 PM

407 you're an idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 4:52 PM

No you're an idiot. Stupid jerk.

dude just needs to open a chocolate factory already play with himself to his heart's content.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 5:24 PM

So much groaning about scalpers on this site. But, I kinda love them. If I'm traveling and learn that some band I like in town, the only hope I have of getting a ticket is to turn to stubhub or a scalper working the corner. Frankly, it's awesome to have a shot at attending otherwise sold-out shows. If you don't want to spend the money, that's fine too.

Posted by lp | April 16, 2012 5:28 PM

Can't wait for the webcast concert, love the new Jack White single! I'm glade he posted it on his website jackwhiteiii.com. Curious to hear the rest of the album on 4/24!

Posted by dave | April 16, 2012 6:36 PM

^^^^Fat Kapgun is that you? Pissed that your boys record leaked early? Too bad.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 9:13 PM

@1:42pm, Actually you are pretty much completely wrong about stubhub and how it works these days. If you know what you are doing, tickets for the Roseland shows you can get at least for face value.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 9:42 PM

Roseland will be buy one get one free the night of the show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 10:36 PM

I'd really love to go to this, but there's a big plate of hummus with MY name on it at Radio City the same night.

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 8:24 AM

how hard was it to get these tix in the vault presale?

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 9:56 AM

@942 and if you know what you're doing, as a seller, you can ALWAYS get the lowest price on stubhub for your tickets. if you think otherwise, you're just wrong. i'm sorry.

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 9:57 AM

Do you actually need to use an AmEx for the presale or do you just need the password?

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 10:00 AM

@10AM you need to use an AMEX CC during checkout. there is no password.

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 10:17 AM

thanks

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 10:27 AM

@9:57 FALSE. You are a troll.

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 11:48 AM

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2012 12:23 PM

I WISH I could catch one of these dates. Everytime I watch clips of Jack performing, it gives me chills. He's so awesome. Cant wait to tune in to the Jack White UNSTAGED webcast on 4/27. http://www.youtube.com/JackwhiteVEVO/. Closest thing I'll get to seeing him live right now/having my own personal concert!
