Polica @ Brooklyn Bowl
Polica

If Polica's quick rise wasn't apparent before, it definitely was when the Minneapolis, Gayngs-related band packed Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday (4/1), just a few nights after playing the significantly smaller Rock Shop which at some point they thought was the right-sized venue to book (the Brooklyn Bowl show was added much later). Here are some pictures from the bowling alley venue show, opener Zulu Winter included.

Polica's upcoming dates include, strangely, another trip east in May, but just to hit Philly, Pittsburgh, Rochester, and Albany (where their show is free). Polica's recent-past shows include SXSW where they played a BV party and an NPR one which is streaming online.

All future dates are listed under the rest of the pictures, below...

This sounds so 90s to me. Not in a good way.

who?

Over-reverbed vocals AND autotune? Two trends that must die together in one band.

Channy is such a babe. She cuts out the autotune when they play live, which is friggin brilliant. I want to be on her.

2:59 said it. No need to pursue this any further. Carry on.

"can we just agree that no one would care about this band if they weren't managed by bon iver's bro"

What about Bon Iver's brother would make anyone care in the first place?

2:59 we can agree but so what, people still have to like it...and a lot of people are into it.
